TO THE

Good morning, Everyone. Good morning

DC Metroland weather report. Rainy! Yes....we finally got much needed rain. It was coming down in buckets this morning as I made my way from the house to the car. Good thing I had a rain coat in the house otherwise I would have been soaking wet by the time I got in the car. Lots of lightning, too. But, this weekend was fab-u-lous!!

Yesterday morning was the first time in a while that hubby and I could have our morning coffee on the front porch. Yesterday, I spent hours in the pool for much needed R&R. Saturday I spent hours and hours in the bathroom, painting. And, after all of that, I don't like the way the walls came out. Which means I'll have to repaint as soon as I can bring myself to do it.

Thank you, Star, for preparing the Canteen for today's activities. Pizza? Well, geez, I'm actually fond of Pizza Hut pizzas. But, then again, I haven't tried every pizza out there.

Since I am never at the Canteen on the weekends and don't get a chance to say it then.......I need to say thanks to those dedicated individuals who work hard on the weekends to keep the Canteen going. You know who you are.

OH....NOOOOOOOOOOO............

It's Monday, again. Y'all know how I feel about Mondays.

Time for me to make my rounds. See who's here and who's not. But, you stay right where you are. Don't touch that dial. Don't change that channel. Put down that remote. Don't leave the room. Keep your eyes on your monitor. Cause...............I'll be bock!

As for the rest of you.......

Now remember, the Canteen is

So, come on in and sit for a while. There's always plenty of coffee, pancakes, conversation, silliness, and plain old BS

REMEMBER THEM

DEFENDERS OF FREEDOM

FR CANTEEN MISSION STATEMENT

Showing support and boosting the morale of our military and

our allied military and the family members of the above.

Honoring those who have served before.

(many thanks to wonderful Sonora for the cute smiley woo hoos)

Good morning, GB

Glad to know I'm not alone in having to repaint a paint job. One of the time consuming jobs is to paint trim. Especially when the original trim is dark and you are painting it white. Now that all that is done the next painting should go faster as it will be the same color. However, if for some reason reality is not as appealing as my vision, I'll have to repaint a different color. But, that is for another day.

I actually got a little too much sun on my back and shoulders cause I jumped in the pool before putting on my sunscreen. DUH! But, it was nice to spend a few hours not doing anything but stay in the cool water. How was your weekend? HUGS

Hey Tom! Anyone know where I can get a Chicago style pizza in N.E. Oklahoma? Everyone advertises "Thick Crust", but that ain't necessarily the same thing. The closest Godfather's is 90 miles away. That's 32 dollars in gas just to get a pizza. Ain't happenin'!

Good morning and (((HUGS))) EG. It's Monday. So not much to say about that.

Did you get those severe storms this weekend? It was raining really hard this morning with lots of thunder and lightning. I'm not sure where it came from since I didn't watch much tv yesterday.

"When I was in college, I didn't have time to eat."

This reminds me of an old Burl Ives folk song:

Old Doctor Wango Tango lived on a biscuit a day
and Old Doctor Wango Tango got very light this way
and Old Doctor Wango Tango gave his animals nothing to eat
Though it sometimes came to pass that they found a little grass
Or a crust or a bone without meat, meat, meat
Or a crust or a bone without meat

I hope you do not have too bad of a sunburn. It was a nice weekend. Thanks. We had my sister come for a visit. Nice weekend. We went to a fabulous restaurant last night. This week we should have nice temperatures. Yay. :)
