BTW Pizza Hut is the reason I'm married to the man I'm married to today! He managed the first Pizza Hut I worked at!

OMG!! I LOVE those kind of stories!!

Sorry it took me so long to say it, but great thread, Star. Looks like you are getting lots of responses. Cool!

As for pizza..we don't have many choices. There is a pizza place in the mall food court where I work called Luca's Pizza that has homemade ingredients. I just love his HUGE slices of cheese pizza. Besides that...Pizza Hut and Papa John's are about the only other brands around here.

Since Ike Sewell's family sold Uno and Due to mass feeders, and since Melman's operation took over Gino's, great Chicago pizza may no longer be available. I always found Giordano's over-rated, but have not tried Malnati's, so who knows...

ALL of the California pizza places mentioned above that I've tried, from SF and Silicon Valley to Westminster, are quite ordinary. Frankie & Johnnies pie is OK when teamed up with a glass of their Spaten, on tap.

The best pizzas I've had in recent decades were at DePietro's in Philadelphia (either store) and at Lombardi's on Spring Street in NYC's Soho. Both places make East-coast style thin-crust pies, but using coal-fired ovens and the very highest quality ingredients.

As I previously stated, I like Giordano's best. My second favorite -- and it's TOTALLY different, is California Pizza Kitchen -- Thai Chicken Pizza. YUM!!

Thai Chicken

This is the original! Pieces of chicken breast marinated in a spicy peanut-ginger and sesame sauce, Mozzarella cheese, green onions, bean sprouts, julienne carrots, cilantro and roasted peanu

I always forget that he does Drudge on Sunday night. It should be over soon, huh?

I guess I'm gonna have to really bug my BB to see what's up with him! :D
