I remember. A story, btw, that the Administration let drift down the river along with those chemicals. Why haven't they trumpted this? And do you recall the story from 2004 about the attempted chemical weapons attack on the capital of Jordan? The perpetrators admitted they received their training, their funding, and the weaponized chemical weapon from al Zarqawi in Iraq before Saddam was toppled.

"If you allow someone like Saddam Hussein to get nuclear weapons, ballistic missiles, chemical weapons, biological weapons, how many people is he going to kill with such weapons?
He's already demonstrated a willingness to use these weapons.
He poison-gassed his own people.
He used poison gas and other weapons of mass destruction against his neighbors.
This man has no compunction about killing lots and lots of people...."

That number shall climb before November.I suspect that by November the only Democrats remaining who will still believe there were no WMD in Iraq will be the same Democrats who think Bush was behind 9/11 - - you know, the illiterate goofball contingent that makes up the Democrat party "base".

Most of the rest of us KNOW Saddam had WMD. The Hizzybaloos are waiting for permission from their puppet masters to start using them on the Lebanese people, with the aim of making it look like Israel is doing it.

I'll bet more than half of the Kurds that Saddam gassed still believe he had WMD.

I'm flabbergasted," said Michael Massing, a media critic whose writings dissected the largely unquestioning U.S. news reporting on the Bush administration's shaky WMD claims in 2002-03. "This finding just has to cause despair among those of us who hope for an informed public able to draw reasonable conclusions based on evidence," Massing said.

Gee whiz, I wonder if Massing has troubled himself to "dissect" all the Clintonista assertions about Saddam and WMDs in 1998-2002 as the leading Demagogues all fell over each other to denounce Saddam and demand an official US policy of "regime change" in Iraq......... a policy which was written into the LAW of the land under President Bill Clinton and VP Algore.........
Of course, since the AP writer is shilling for the infamous charlatan Scott Ritter, the article is surely reliable:
"These are not stockpiles of weapons of mass destruction," said Scott Ritter, the ex-Marine who was a U.N. inspector in the 1990s. "They weren't deliberately withheld from inspectors by the Iraqis."

Through this whole article, I failed to see one mention of Free Republic's own
Jveritas or links to any of the declassified documents the U.S. military had seized over the time since the invasion, which he has interpreted for the American people. I am convinced that his work has had an impact on the national understanding that Hussein indeed
was culpable for the majority of charges the Bush Administration and coalition forces leveled against this terrorist supporting regime.
For those of you unfamiliar with his work, or those new to Free Republic, he has linked everything on his profile page:
Free Republic's Jveritas.

Count me in the half that knows there were WMD in Iraq, and that the Russians and Uday ferreted them out of Iraq in truck convoys during the month before we invaded.

I am just a simple translator my fellow freeper :) I do not think that my translations has any impact on people opinion regarding WMD. Any person who does not hate President Bush knows that Saddam did have WMD.
