The dinosaur media must be prepping to make another drive at how "uninformed" vast segments of the American people are since the advent of "new media." That would be THEIR customers that are uninformed.

Half of U.S. Still Believes Iraq Had WMD Look at the above headline. Now look at the sentence below that was pulled from the article
Despite this, a Harris Poll released July 21 found that a full 50 percent of U.S. respondents - up from 36 percent last year - said they believe Iraq did have the forbidden arms when U.S. troops invaded in March 2003
How can 50% (HALF) STILL believe if the number who believe has gone UP 14% since last year? A truthful headline would have been "More Americans now believe Iraq had WMD" The rapidly failing media is getting more and more obvious as their desperation to remain relevant reaches critical mass.

...in the same article where he belittles people who are aware of the fact that we found hundreds of WMDs.

The left, especially the MSM, will foreever continue to rewrite reality to suit their agenda. It does not matter what is real or important to anyone other than them.

As far as I know wmd's of various sorts WERE found in Iraq, so why wouldn't 1/2 STILL believe?

Shouldn't the headline read "Half of U.S. STILL DOESN'T believe Iraq had WMD's?

With as many reports about the WMD that were found (BBC World News repeatedly), the miracle is that half of the U.S. doesn't believe that WMDs were found.

Am I the only person who remembers the (one) news story about chemicals found in the Euphrates River when our troops took Baghdad?

That's funny, because there was a Pew poll just released that showed that listeners of Rush and other talk radio(conservative) were found to be more informed than other Americans.

I think Iran and its proven nuclear weapons program are opening peoples' eyes about what Iraq was capable of. North Korea, too. It's a dangerous world out there, and DESPITE the AP, people are getting a clue about it.
To: cyberdasher
you can't prove a negative, can't prove there weren't any WMDs. I think these Americans who "still" believe just have some common sense. They know who Saddam is, they know he had ambitions to be "The Land Of Jihad".
I think the White House caved on this issue when they didn't have to.

No you are not. Both the Tigris and Euphrates tested positive on the first days of the war.

And yet 55%, according to a poll this past week, think our going into Iraq was a mistake. I think most Americans are morons.
