Columbus, Ohio -- Former senator and astronaut John Glenn and his wife were taken to a hospital with minor injures after being involved in a car accident, police said.
Glenn, 85, and his wife, Annie, 86, were in fair condition early Saturday morning at Grant Medical Center, a nursing supervisor said.
The driver of the other car, Amy Myers of suburban New Albany, said she was driving east late Friday night when Glenn, who was headed west, tried to turn left onto a highway ramp.

Godspeed, John Glenn.
I've heard that during Glenn's space shuttle flight he left the left-turn signal on for 6 orbits...
Last time I heard anything about John Glenn, he was still in space...
Just kidding. Well, not really.
Hope all is OK.
God bless you, John, but please -- HAND IN YOUR CAR KEYS.
Was it a legal turn aside from failure to yield right of way? Since nobody was seriously injured it might be noted that Glenn turned left long ago.
God bless him. He pimped himself and got another ride!
I was thinking the same thing but didn't want to be the one to ask an astronaut to hand over the keys.
Glenn is kinda beyond petty politics. He remains an American hero.
I am unsympathetic.
As a Marine pilot - he was a Korean War Hero.
As an astronaut - he was one of the brave and daring souls risking life to go into space - again - very heroic.
But as a Senator, he was left left left. Okay - everyone is entitled to their political views.
But when he, as Minority Leader of a Senate Committee that was investigating the possible corrupt and illegal activities related to Chinese Communist money being funneled to Clinton's campaign, he used every possible manuever and trick to delay, obstruct and prevent the committee from getting at the truth. His reward - 30 pieces of silver - in the form of one last venture into space on the Space Shuttle.
For his last actions - nothing but contempt. I regard him the same as the famous Revolutionary War Hero and American Patriot (who turned traitor) ... Benedict Arnold.

Historic remark! Nice response...
I once toured the shuttle John Glenn was in. It still had that "old man" smell in it.
Actually, I recall that Glenn engaged in some pretty petty politics in order to get one last ride in space from the Clinton administration.
Astonaut Glenn WAS a hero....Senator Glenn was a traitorous ZERO.
Don't care. He's still a hero.
(Yes, I realize I am irrational on the subject of John Glenn. Blame it on the age in which I grew up)
Amen to that.
I agree totally. When you sell your soul, it just about negates every good thing that you have achieved.
As with most things, this was predicted by South Park.
Prayers go out for John and his wife! May they have a speedy recovery.
