JERUSALEM Hezbollah's sophisticated anti-tank missiles are perhaps the guerrilla group's deadliest weapon in Lebanon fighting, with their ability to pierce Israel's most advanced tanks.
Experts say this is further evidence that Israel is facing a well-equipped army in this war, not a ragtag militia.
Hezbollah has fired Russian-made Metis-M anti-tank missiles and owns European-made Milan missiles, the army confirmed on Friday.
In the last two days alone, these missiles have killed seven soldiers and damaged three Israeli-made Merkava tanks mountains of steel that are vaunted as symbols of Israel's military might, the army said. Israeli media say most of the 44 soldiers killed in four weeks of fighting were hit by anti-tank missiles.

I really, really hate the MSM. They can't simply report, they have to taunt like fifth-graders.
They did the same thing to the Americans before Second Fallujah (which shut them up and seemed to immediately end the "the insurgents are winning" meme, and forced them to move on to the "Civil War" theme).
What new meaning? C'mon, let's hear your defense of Hezbollah, as an organization, and their latest Iran enabled/directed actions against Israel.
I contend supporting Israel is supporting civilization against chaos. A righteous victim against terrorists. Good against evil. Yeah. That's my "bias". So let's hear yours.
Oh, and maybe you'd like to refute the characterization of the MSM as liberally biased, based on facts and "truth" you're so even-handedly versed in. I cited you a UCLA study from 2005 that's chock full of facts supporting my contention.
United States is losing the war...blah, blah, blah
Yada, yada, yada...they should just pull out.
Such a broken record...
Israel and USA will continue to do the work most others won't do, and I'm going out to garden, while saying a special decisive victory prayer for the Israeli and American and Coalition troops! God Bless them all.
AP...write when you actually get a story!
Any questions which side the AP is on? Sheesh.
Tanks may be nearing the end of their product cycle. When I was in armor school at Fort Knox, we were taught that a tank is "a 55 ton infantryman" meaning it can be knocked out by one shot from one enemy troop with the appropriate weapon. That was in 1972, and it appears still to be true today.
Exactly right. It's a study of, and not a definition of the MSM.
What my bias is is irrelevant. Whatever it is, it's neither good nor bad. Just like yours, it's in the eye of the beholder. I don't really care what your is either. What I find comical is that you were trying to tell me what my bias should be on this thread. Zeig Heil!
You're a top-notch non-debator alright. Afraid to commit? I said the media is liberally biased. You believe otherwise? Prove it or shut up.
You think backing Israel in their war is a "bias"? Say how!
I say you can't. Period.
"What my bias is is irrelevant."
Yeah. You're irrelevant, all right.
From Websters:
MSM n. purveyors of liberal bias in the form of "information"; especially those pretending "even-handedness" in doing so
There. That's my definition.
Nothing is invulnerable on the battlefield...combined arms tactics make it about as safe an endeavor as it ever will be short of the automation of some armor.
Maybe someone else would want you to put your words in their
mouth. Brown shirt tactics won't work with me, Adolf. You lose.
You have to scale that up for Israel's population of 6M vs our population of 300M. It's like 2200 American soldiers getting killed each week, much worse than the Vietnam war.
Enough to know they don't protect you from everything, but if you're running around, taking small arms fire, they are good to get behind until you find something better.
And too slow also.
The number of tanks damaged and destroyed isn't that high. It is nothing compared to WWII. It is just the MSM hyperventilating again.
Okay, Ava...
You called me a Nazi. Okay. You win. Boy, I'm never gonna argue with you again.
By, the way, you still trying to get FR to crack the whip with that rule of yours? You know, your post #36:
I believe there should be a rule on FR that states when anyone claims bias they must also offer a re-write of the article in question with the facts given
I guess everybody in this thread that pointed out the MEDIA BIAS in this article should really submit re-writes to you post haste. Really. They must.
I stand corrected-I remember reading about this in Herzog's "The Yom Kippur War"-just got the area of operations wrong
