House Republicans Announce New August Field Hearings on Border Security: Nineteen Hearings to Occur in Twelve States

Responding to pressure from Minuteman Civil Defense Corps and patriots like you, Congress announced in recent days that numerous hearings will be held around the country in coming weeks to further investigate the issues of border security and immigration.

House Speaker Dennis Hastert (R-IL) and House Majority Leader John Boehner (R-OH) this week announced the list of border security field hearings that will take place in the month of August. Eight U.S. House of Representative Committees will hold nineteen hearings that will take place in twelve different states.

This is not a request to protest, but to attend the hearings, and talk with Congressmen to help inform them and make your voice heard.

Inform them that because of broken faith we do not trust the government to secure our borders, that any guest-worker Amnesty must not be in any new legislation, that they must PROVE that the borders are secured before any deliberations will commence on what to do with the estimated 12-30 million people already here illegally.

Let them know clearly that terrorist groups like al Qaeda, Hezbollah, and Hamas and their facilitators in Iran and Syria know what we all know—that our borders are disgracefully and dangerously open to penetration by our enemies. Impress upon them that the American people will not tolerate this national security risk any longer. We will not stand idly by and let political pandering jeopardize our safety and sovereignty.

Secure the borders FIRST, NOW, and ONLY. Prove it.

Save The Dates! Be sure to attend! ! And watch www.minutemanhq.com for the latest information regarding border security.

I've written a dozen letters to Congressmen, President, Committee Chairs, nothing happens. TRY sometime visiting your local Immigration Naturalization Services.. INS, try calling them and getting menu prompt, put on hold, and no answers. People who DESIRE to do things legally end up doing it the easy way, FLIGHT across the desert. Once they get in..they are SAFE.

Shut up, Build the wall, start deportations, then we'll talk "guest workers". No Amnesty (path to citizenship).

Too little, too late and the elites are throwing the election purposefully. Just like Daddy did.

talk, talk, talk, talk, talk...

what we need is ACTION NOT TALK!

deploy some of those 400K NG on the borders who are not already serving overseas , get busy building a wall on BOTH BORDERS and start deporting the illegals AND THE MUSLIMS!
Or should we wait for another 9/11 before we start doing what should have been started on 9/12/2001!

Either we are at war or we aren't!

Ok, at first I thought the hearings were a good idea to give the House the ammunition to throw the amnesty bill away and continue with HR4437's ideas. But why more hearings? This seems like a waste of time and money. In the meantime, more illegals are pouring over the border every day.

We need time to publically rub the mistakes of those responsible for our current and potential future problems with illegal immigration in their faces. It's a sort of spiritual cleansing that needs to be done before we move ahead.

LOL! I can relate to that. The more facts that come out, especially about the Senate amnesty bill, the better. Especially right before elections.

I've been convinced for some time that NONE of the above, including letters, e-mail, phone calls, etc. are as effective as taking to the streets. Yes, many think that their protests backfired.....but the DC leadership did absolutely NOTHING to stop them from shutting down major cities in this country AND their efforts resulted in a very comprehensive, in favor of the illegals S2611.
