Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton on Thursday called on Defense Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld to resign, hours after excoriating him at a public hearing over what she called "failed policy" in Iraq.

"I just don't understand why we can't get new leadership that would give us a fighting chance to turn the situation around before it's too late," the New York Democrat and potential 2008 presidential contender said in an interview with The Associated Press. "I think the president should choose to accept Secretary Rumsfeld's resignation."

"The secretary has lost credibility with the Congress and with the people," she said. "It's time for him to step down and be replaced by someone who can develop an effective strategy and communicate it effectively to the American people and to the world."

Are you seeing a lot of commercials? If you are, do what I do when Colmes is talking on Hannity and Colmes. Put your fingers in your ears and yell, 'LALALALA' or change the channel.

Remember that this is their primary. Lieberman could lose because the looney left owns the Demoratic Party. Maybe the good Conservative will get out and stop the left during the election.

How did this wench get on the armed services Committee ?

Dude, "wench" isn't an insult. Give it another shot, she deserves it.

Lamont commercials are very good- sure to move voters in the Dem. way. I really can't believe how much money has been spent in ad's for Lamont it is huge. Speaking of Colmes I must email Fox every month about Colmes- such an interrupting fool.

Wouldn't it be more appropriate to view her marriage to BJ Bill as a failed Policy.
In fact include her whole life as a failed policy.

....'pre-election grandstanding' is just what she was up to. The glasses, that pose of military expertise...all staged. She might even have to give up botox for a while.

If I called Hillary what I would like to call her, I would be banned for life.

And the good thing is, the Demorats think all they have to do is run to the left. At the moment, they are pandering to their base and spending big money in order to make it happen. They will probably have to spend a lot more in a red state then a blue state to make a change there.

Yeah, one of the scariest thoughts around - this anti-military Marxist being the C-in-C...makes my skin crawl. The defections from the military would be very serious. She is a TOTAL phony, totally unqualified to be President, and that definition should in "disqualified" to be President because of her criminal mindset and willingness to do anything to anybody FOR POWER.

I second the motion calling for Hillary's resignation.

LOL! Hillary is running for re-election this year. Rumors of Hillary's pending indictment spread by Rush and other uninformed dittoheads are greatly exaggerated.

If you are dissatisfied with Hillary's record of competenece as a U.S. Senator, you are willing to join the few hundred or so moonbats may vote against her in November. After Hillary is reelected, she will be in a strong political position when and if the Democratic Party calls upon her in 2008.

The mindset Hillary is up against is the type of person likely to ignore the following Rumsfeld quotes, all from just a few Friedmans ago:

Jul. 24, 2003

"I don't do quagmires."

Feb. 7, 2003

"It is unknowable how long that conflict will last. It could last six days, six weeks. I doubt six months." —to U.S. troops in Aviano, Italy

Nov. 15, 2002

"The idea that it's going to be a long, long, long battle of some kind I think is belied by the fact of what happened in 1990," he said on an Infinity Radio call-in program. "Five days or five weeks or five months, but it certainly isn't going to last any longer than that."

Notice she had no ideas on winning the war.

She still denies that we're at war.
