Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton on Thursday called on Defense Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld to resign, hours after excoriating him at a public hearing over what she called "failed policy" in Iraq.
"I just don't understand why we can't get new leadership that would give us a fighting chance to turn the situation around before it's too late," the New York Democrat and potential 2008 presidential contender said in an interview with The Associated Press. "I think the president should choose to accept Secretary Rumsfeld's resignation."
"The secretary has lost credibility with the Congress and with the people," she said. "It's time for him to step down and be replaced by someone who can develop an effective strategy and communicate it effectively to the American people and to the world."

She has to win the Independents and it won't happen. She polarizes us. I think the Conservatives will polarize and she won't make it. I hope. You could be right. I dropped my crystal ball back in 2000. I try to be optimistic though.

I do not agree. The left in CT has all the cards in their camp. They are screaming the loudest everywhere. The left is actually in control of the CT and MSM right now. As for you, we were all leftist in college- we all grow up.

Don't underestimate the level of hatred this woman evokes. Most of the country detests her and wouldn't vote for her under any circumstances. We live in one of the bluest of blue states, and so are immersed in the background noise of propaganda that the left needs to console itself. Don't forget the exit polls in the last election... the dems were shocked that they were wrong because they so wanted to believe them. Hillary is NOT going to win.

Thank You AZ!
Fox did a fare job of condensing those 10 minutes, but you really need all 10 to achieve the perspective.

Hate to but in here, but for the record, I was not leftist in college. But I did go to the military before college. That might make a difference. Maybe we should make all the kids go to the military for a few years and then go to college. It might be harder for the commie professors to brainwash or kids that way.

Love 'em! You don't pull any punches do you? Have you ever had any good encounters with furious lib drivers, just out of curiousity.

"Maybe we should make all the kids go to the military for a few years and then go to college."
That's a great idea - I went straight to college and ended up rather brainwashed for my 20s....... though fortunately I began to get a clue as the big 3-0 loomed. Still, I look back (from my advanced age of 46) and think that my life would have been much more sensible and worthwhile in every way if I'd gone into a branch of the military straight out of high school. I'm not sure about requiring it (don't think we need 8 million new recruits each year anyway), but it should be more widely and loudly recommended.

I would agree with that. Besides, I like an all volunteer Army. I like having people around that want to be there.

I lost optimisim during this silly CT race. The left is all over this race like crazy. Did you know they are even bringing up the unions against Lieberman. They stage the events in front of Walmart's in this state saying Lieberman is against Unions. My Gosh the left is out full time here in CT.

I sort of agree with you. But we all grow up at some point and realize that taxes taken out of our pay are too much.
