Click the link below to access a video that lasts about 5 minutes of Janeane Garofalo and some Metrosexual zot bait (that visits FR frequently) give their opinion of what goes on at FR and what FReepers are all about!!
Click Here then click the image of Jeanine Garafalo!
Maybe right up your alley :D
She's wrong. We are the people who want a level playing field. A level playing field is just that - a place where everyone competes equally - on merit - with no advantage given to either team by the "field".
Liberals don't want a level playing field. Quite the opposite. Liberals want to give metaphorical submachine guns to one team and break the arms of the other team. That is the essence of preferences. Favored "teams" are victim groups that vote for dems.
Garafalo pushes for some to be more equal than others. Then blames us for not wanting a level playing field.
When the civil rights movement was at it's strongest and most respectable, it fought for equal rights not special rights. MLK fought for the right to vote like all other Americans... to go to public schools like all other Americans, to be served in eating establishments like all other Americans - to sit anywhere on the bus - like all other Americans. He wanted the field level.
Liberals, poverty pimps, and the Jeanine Garafalo's of the world want special privileges - a tilted field - a field with advantages for some - and not for others. With liberal victim groups given advantage... Either way, Jeanine's got a problem with understanding reality...
Garafalo's wrong. Conservatives are the people who want a level playing field -- a place where everyone competes equally - on merit - with no advantage given to either team by the "field".

Favored "teams" are victim groups that vote for democrats. And they believe "feel" that's fair. We all need to get behind special rights for liberal groups. Are they nuts? What if we wanted special rights for fundamentalist Christians? Would they jump on that bandwagon? I think not. No, liberals never walk in our shoes...

Thank you for giving us such great notes on this, weegee.
Awwwwww yeah. I mentioned that before and a bunch of Freepers told me she was pig ugly even after I posted photos from that era. My premise was that she Wants to be unattractive, because it's got to take so little effort for her to look decent.
Loved her in Mystery Men, too. One of the funniest characters in one of the funniest movies ever.
She was back in the day, but now she seems determined to look as crappy as humanly possible.
Mystery Men was her finest hour.
Very well stated and summarized, weegee. I'll just add a few to your extensive list.
"Morally tethered to nothing"... The name of this site is "Free Republic" -- isn't it obvious what we (or most of us) are "tethered to"? I wonder if Ms. Garafolo even knows what a Republic is...
She clearly thinks we're stupid. Has there ever been an effort to survey Freepers on their academic and/or professional backgrounds? I would dare say we would represent a rather strong demographic for this kind of audience.
I loved Garafolo's favorite conservatives: Tom Friedman and John McCain. Does she even have a clue???? But I was impressed that she at least understood, somewhat, some of the principles that most of us might embrace: smaller government, personal responsibility, fiscal responsibility. I wonder (I really REALLY wonder) if she could even attempt to state a similar set of agenda items for progressives/liberals/Demos... I can't imagine she could come up with a cogent 3- or 4-item list. After all, we're still waiting for the Dems' Contract for America.
Thanks for pinging me! Keep up the good work.
The left has a couple principles, "I didn't do it", "If it feels good, do it", "From each according to his abilty, to each according to his needs" and ultimately "Dead white males belong buried in the past."
Ping to watch at home.
I've heard of "beer goggles" doing that . Now I'll have to add "beer monitor" to my vocabulary.
Never heard of either of these bitches.
Never watched that movie, but from the posters and such that I saw, I'd have to agree. I don't think she was ever plain, just not movie-star pretty, more cute than anything else...then she started in with the politics, and apparently had several reverse makeovers...
Same fecal matter. Alternate diurnal period.
Yet another rabid, liberal Hollywood elitist looking down her snobby nose at Conservatives.
mark for later
Her huge mouth full of perfectly capped teeth is usually the only thing I notice when she's talking. That mouth is too distracting for me to watch her.
I switch channels when she's on also
I guess I'll 'fess up too. I liked her in "The Truth About Cats And Dogs" and find her rather endearing when she is not talking politics.
Unfortunately, these days that's a little like saying the Pope is endearing when he is not talking about Catholic theology.
