Never mind the Mitsu-provided renderings we brought you earlier this month. Japan's Carview has been to the Mitsukoshi department store in Tokyo's Nihonbashi district, where the one-of-a-kind Mitsubishi i "Princess Kitty" special edition is on display.
True to the renderings, the Princess Kitty is a rolling tribute to the loveable Sanrio character. Pink paint, special decals, and a themed interior complete with kitty-shaped headrests are the car's not-so-subtle identifiers.
Later this week, a drawing will be held at the Mitsukoshi store to determine who gets the right to buy the car, which is likely the most interesting Hello Kitty collectible ever.
Head over to the translated Carview page to see the rest of their photo gallery.

As a femme who, believe it or not, was once a spring chicken, even back then I would have been mortified to be seen in -- much less driving -- a car like this!

I know three women who would kill for this car, as Hello Kitty is their obsession.

My eyes, my eyes...LOL! The way I see it, either this car is just waiting to be stolen or will never be stolen.

Take away the kittycat, and you've got the official Mary Kay company car.

The way I see it, either this car is just waiting to be stolen or will never be stolen. That seems like a perfect setup for "The World's most Stupid Criminals"-- I really can envision a car thief stealing one, and then wondering why every policeman in sight was scrutinizing it closely.
Years ago, a man named Ed "Big Daddy" Roth built some really extreme custom cars-- think of the old Munster Koach, carried to even more creative excesses... viola!

My wife is the same way. I just sent a copy of the article to her email account and she immediately replied back that she expects this for a Christmas present. Jeesh, I shoulda kept my mouth shut.

I've never been into cute, but I'm going to see if I can find some Hello Kitty office supplies. It looks like the only way to keep my male office mates from helping themselves to the ones on my desk (my desk is always neat).
Actually, I kind of like the car. I can see my grumpy old self tooling around the Beltway in it, gray hair streaming, snearing at people who smile at me...

Mr. Mew would kill me....
But that big logo on the rear window would have to go. I'd worry about it obstructing my vision.

You're kidding. That's sooooooo tacky I want one. I'd like to drive that to work tomorrow and see what my customers say (I own a bike shop).
