WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld will testify in an open hearing Thursday about the war in Iraq, reversing an earlier decision not to appear, a spokesman for the Senate Armed Services Committee told CNN Wednesday night.

Rumsfeld had previously declined to appear because, he said, he was already scheduled for a closed door meeting with members of Congress on the same day.

Get out the popcorn. When the libs attack him, we should see some rare "footage". This is just a kangaroo court so the libs can grandstand and the conservatives can do the same....as usual, it will accomplish nothing.

What a waste of time. If they want to know anything they could either contact the NYSlimes or ask Murtha to get the information from his unnamed sources.[sarc]

Rummy should be run out of town for trying to run a war on the cheap, with boutique brigades instead of using a large army with a large footprint. Bring back the draft and the big divisions so we can whip ass in Venezuela, Iran, Korea, China, Iraq, Somalia, and several other hotspots. It's only gonna get worse with a small military footprint that can't fight its way out of a paper bag. Shenseki was right.

Sadly I have to agree here. I don't think that libs are the only ones with a bone to pick with Rummy. I'm also not a fan of how he left our Marines to be rotting in the brig because of accusations from the enemy.

Either fight the war full force or don't do it at all. Choose a mincing halfway path and the ones who get split up the middle are the soldiers. Not good.
