The president met with Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Saud al-Faisal at the White House.
He traveled to Ohio to attend a fundraiser for Ohio Republican gubernatorial candidate Ken Blackwell.
Here are some more details from the doctors' report after W's physical exam yesterday, such as "Doctors treated a small precancerous lesion on his left arm but indicated it was nothing serious. They told him to use sunscreen and wear a hat." He smokes a cigar now and then, drinks coffee and diet sodas and takes a daily multivitamin but does not routinely take any prescription medication.

QUOTE: (Visiting the WH press briefing room) "So this is like the end of an old era. ... Laura and I wanted to come by and wish you all the best as you get to new headquarters for a while. ... Looking forward to being here when you kick off the new room. ... I appreciate the relationship with the press. ... It's an important relationship."

(God watch over the young lions of Israel!)
President Bush greets veteran WH "correspondent" Helen Thomas during the final briefing in the press briefing room in the West Wing of the White House before its renovation. Also pictured, CBS News correspondent Jim Axelrod, second left, Associated Press correspondent Terry Hunt, third left, and NBC's Rosalind Jordan, fourth left.
"They promised me, Helen, that when they finish renovating the briefing room, they're gonna renovate YOU, and that includes refurbishing your BRAIN!!!" (Note: not an actual W quote.)

The press corps will move out of the White House and into temporary workspaces across the street and in trailers this week to make way for major renovations which may take at least nine months.
Late arrivals from Tuesday
After his physical, Bush met with 27 military men and women at the hospital, and presented Purple Hearts to seven of them.
President Bush awarding the Purple Heart to U.S. Marine Corps Cpl. Edgardo Velazquez of Bronx, N.Y., at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Md. Velazquez's wife Loureann is at center, nurse, Roselin Imarti is at right.

Helen appears delighted to hold his hand. Go figure. It's the first time a man's actually touched her. Bush deserves a medal.
