Alice Cooper got his act together early enough to be very effective. Ozzy isn't faring so well.

The singer of "Dead Babies," "No More Mr. Nice Guy" and "Welcome to My Nightmare" said the club called The Rock will offer a variety of wholesome activities free of charge to youth ages 12-18. Dang! I'm too old. Can I go if I pay?
BTW: Does anyone know when Cooper became born again?
Shalom.

Alice Cooper was one of my favorite groups in the '70s. Not only the show but also musically, the original band was great.

Sure enough, Wikipedia says, "In 1986 ..., Megadeth was asked to open for Alice Cooper during current US tours. After noticing the hardcore drug and alcohol abuse in the band, Cooper personally approached them to try and help them control their "demons", and stayed close to front man Dave Mustaine ever since. Mustaine considers him his "Godfather" [VH1 Behind the Music 2001]. It was during this time in the 1980s that Cooper became a born-again Christian and became sober."

From what I understand, a lot of his act was just that...an act. He's actually a pretty intelligent guy who didn't fry his brain cells like so many other rock stars.
And he's supposedly a really good golfer, too.

Dead babies can't take care of themselves.
Alice is getting more and more overtly Christian. I wonder if he'll start throwing Alice Cooper-covered Bibles to the audience like Stryper.

Thanks for doing the research.
I don't think the Media will ever understand the concept of Redemption.
I really liked what Ann Coulter had to say in her book, "Godless," regarding the woman who read the Bible to the murderer who had kidnapped her, converting him to Christianity. She called it a miracle, and said the press would never understand.
Shalom.

Here's another reason to like the guy. His view on musicians getting all political:
If youre listening to a rock star in order to get your information on who to vote for, youre a bigger moron than they are. Why are we rock stars? Because were morons. We sleep all day, we play music at night and very rarely do we sit around reading the Washington Journal.
