On the one hand, liberals enjoy portraying themselves as models of tolerance and racial sensitivity. But woe betide someone who runs afoul of their orthodoxy. Liberals don't hesitate to bring out the crudest racial imagery to mock them.
We've all seen the vulgar caricatures of Clarence Thomas, Condi Rice and Ward Connerly.
Add Joe Lieberman to the liberal media hit list. Have a look at the image of Lieberman that popped up at Huffington Post today. It's in a column by one Jane Hamsher, who, her bio informs us, is a 'progressive blogger.'
Guess being progressive means never having to say you're sorry for resorting to this kind of stuff to make a political point.
Hat tip to Little Green Footballs.
The irony is that Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton are campaigning for his opponent the very day this image is exposed.
Meanwhile, Mel Gibson is reviled as the poster boy for Jew hatred from our beloved liberal media.
Lieberman is going to win as an Independent.
Jane Hamster wasn't drunk
Huff Post has now yanked the photo. The pajamahadeen strike again!
Here's a great observation from a LGF poster:

It's ... it's ... it's our First Black President ! In Whiteface!
Wow...
Connecticut ping!
Please Freepmail me if you want on or off my infrequent Connecticut ping list.
It's all Bush's fault.
It's predictable. Whenever anyone on the left does anything racist, it goes nowhere in the leftist-dominated media.
Whenever anyone on the left misconstrues anything that anyone on the right says, it's all over the leftist-dominated media. It's so blatant, so obvious that we don't need to recall examples.
Nothing that we see in the leftist-dominated media is worth any credibility at all.
People who glance quickly at the page will associate Hamsher with Republicans.
Huffington Post is a weird amalgam of DU, Kos, and Liberty Forum. All crackpots all the time.
Lamont exposed - he tried to pretend he doesn't even know there are bloggers around his campaign, but apparently cbsnews.com didn't get the new Lamont campaign memo:
