WASHINGTON Michigan Democratic Senator Carl Levin has refused to budge on the nomination of the head of the Justice Department's new anti-terrorism division.
However, it's not because of any complaint about the nominee but it's an effort to try to force the Justice Department's hand on another matter.Levin has been pressing the Bush administration to supply more information from F-B-I agents who reported witnessing aggressive interrogations of detainees at a Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, Defense Department facility.Kenneth Wainstein has no opposition for his nomination and is only waiting for the Senate to confirm him as the department head.
If there is a domestic terrorist attack while waiting for Levin to get his ego shined, the blame will lay directly at Carl's pointed head.
If honest polls were conducted, why do I think that Anerucans would overwhelmingly support 'aggressive' interrogation techniques?
Or are we supposed to resort to the 'Come on, I'll be your best friend' routine?
Sick bunch.
That's a real screen capture too, btw.
I'm not surprised. How do you do a screen capture?
Hit "Print Screen," then paste it into your photo editing program. You can crop the image from there.
Levin SUX! A pox on his sorry ass!
Thank God Osama is winning at this point. President Bush has less votes which thankfully means that the dems are not as unpatriotic as I would have thought.
So, we see a typical democrat (Levin) stall this important nomination to leverage for names of FBI agents who he thinks will back up his want of "torture" at GTMO--so he can pound Bush. Ain't that quaint?
The country is second to their desire for power.
Levin still can't get over the fact that his side, the Democrats who supported Daniel Ortega and the Marxists in Nicaragua, lost out to the Reagan team, which included Casey, Ollie North and John Bolton. He will do anything to halt the projection of American power in international affairs -- even when his actions knowingly harm the defense of the nation itself. He has no historical equal as a left wing radical working at the heart of the American political system.
Soon it will be a good time for Dubya to ask the American people why the Senate has not given him a terror czar.
