Lebanese youths in the suburbs of Beirut wave Hizbullah flags as they celebrate the Hizbullah attack on the Israeli border.

Apparently, the Lebanese people made their choice. It was the wrong choice, and now they are paying the price.

"Never again!"

Morning all.

Karl, thanks for the thread.

0932 in Israel, about half an hour before those late night, hard drinking journos get any stories filed this morning, wonder what today will bring?

I don't know anything about drs. in Iraq. What did the one who treated you say? I've always thought tonsils were there to protect you from illness, but I'm wondering if you have had problems if you should consider having them out. Maybe when you come back in Sept. you could make an appt. here?

They considered taking them out when I was about 23. But they said it was more dangerous for an adult. I am also a classical trained vocalist and they couldn't guarantee that the operation wouldn't change my voice, so that option went right out the window.

I grew up as a military brat and they don't operate on you unless you're critical, so they always just gave me meds.

Besides, I don't wanna spend my home leave recuperating from surgery! ;-)

lol! One more before I hit the sack. I always tell my twins that I don't remember them before the age of two. OMG, I was so tired. I had no family around and really no friends as we'd just moved before they were born. The girls were on completely opposite schedules. One slept in the daytime and the other slept at night, which meant I was awake 24 hrs a day. G'nite, Allegra. Be well and stay safe.

those kids, live with this. a friend of mine grew up in Kiryat Shmona. He says that he spent his youth in the shelters...."I was more in the shelters than in my home", he says in his accented English.

Hubby finally called, I got to tell him about the rabbit that's been hanging out in the back yard (which I am trying to keep my golden retrievers from catching) and now I am wide awake again.

Sigh.

Vilnai: Baalbek Operations Attests to IDF’s Abilities
09:11 Aug 02, '06 / 8 Av 5766

(IsraelNN.com) Former Deputy IDF Chief of Staff, MK Matan Vilnai, told Galei Tzahal (Army) Radio on Wednesday that the operation in Baalbek attests to the IDF’s abilities, citing the fact that elite commandos operating deep in Lebanon and retuned home safely sends a clear message to Hizbullah.

Vilnai explained that the terrorists must understand that they are not safe anywhere, there is no where to hide.

The operation during the night involved elite IDF forces operating some 100 kilometers (60 miles) into Lebanon.

A photograph of Pamela Waechter is shown on display during her memorial service Monday, July 31, 2006, in Bellevue, Wash. Waechter, a 58-year-old staffer of the Jewish Federation of Greater Seattle, was murdered at the Federation offices last Friday. Police allege that Naveed Afzal Haq, 30, forced his way into the offices and began shooting, killing Waechter and wounding five others. (AP Photo/Thomas James Hurst, Pool)

Mine is 150 more, but still cheaper than what I can get at walmart...I don't have a shortage of desktop computers. I upgraded the ram on this computer and put my old ram chips in the kids' old emachine puter, and it screams at 256 mg when it used to only have 64. Neither boy wanted it, so I inherited it. Hubby has his puter next to mine. but sometimes I want to get away from it all and write. And I wanted one hubby can take on fire assignments with him, too.
