Missing Computer Could Compromise Data of Florida Residents

With the explosion of computer personal data thefts, wouldn't it be prudent if our government established a LIFE SENTENCE for those found to have been involved in such theft (doing the stealing or the buying of information) - with no clemency or chance of parole? It would be fitting punishment for criminals or sleezy people who cause so much anxiety to so many people's lives.
