I wager they may have intelligence as to where their 2 soldiers are being held hostage.

Yeah. The worse they get beat up the more they arrogantly demand ISRAEL stand down, without offering any terms. Let them go to hell.

If they surrounded the IDF, they've made the biggest mistake of their lives.
This is the 2nd most mobile force in the world and they can reinforce RAPIDLY and support that reinforcement with airpower.
Perhaps the IDF will sit and draw flies for a while:)

Makes it easier for the IDF to pick out the targets, if they are in front of them, then they are the target!!!!!!

"I don't think they can airlift enough of a strike force into the rear. No, it still looks like they're drawing the bear away from the honey jar long enough to go in and snatch it. Hope they get the captives too."
Yes, they need to get heavy equipment in quickly if they want to hold the ground long. If this is really a big move, look for an armored division coming up the anti-Lebanon mountains.
Boy does this show how important air power is? The Hezzies in S. Lebanon are cut off from HQ and have to decide whether to fight it out in S. Lebanon or risk a run north to defend their base. Meanwhile the Israelis have cut most of the roads from Syria, cutting off retreat, resupply or Syrian intervention.

Keep clam and don't try to dream up possible scenarios. I am calm, I just like to be prepared for any possibility that may come our way.
With Rita we were well supplied. They were predicting 30 in. of rain. The only problem was, we didn't get any rain. That's what we were counting on for flushing toilets and washing clothes. We had to use our potable drinking water for that.
Our well runs on electricity and ours was off for a week.
I won't be caught flatfooted like that again.
Who ever heard of a hurricane with no torrential rain?

Could the Israeli's be planning a spear thrust to link up with them? How far would that be anyway, I wonder?

I'm not sure if Israel wants this war contained. And from the public statements of our Administration, I don't think they want it contained either They don't. This is a critical first step before putting the smack down on Iran. It's now or never.

Hizbullah: Weve surrounded IDF troops that landed next to BaalbeckChesty Puller: "...that simplifies the problem."
To: Hadean
By definition, Israeli troops landing in Bekaa are surrounded. The question is whether Hezzies can defeat them, or prevent them from going home. I doubt it. They would not land there without a way to get back.
