Suitcase bomb found in German train

1 August 2006

DORTMUND, GERMANY - A bomb has been found aboard a German train, with prosecutors saying Tuesday, the morning after it was discovered, that it had been powerful enough to maim or even kill.

Bomb-disposal specialists disabled the device Monday evening in the main railway station in the western German city of Dortmund.

"The contents were capable of severely injuring or even killing people," said prosecutor Ina Holznagel.

The device included a canister of propane gas, a timer and wires.

I thought it was the Hari Krishna's...

...you know how they hang around the airports and bus stations... giving you 'flowers'.

It was all practice. Practice for their nefarious schemes to conquer the WORLD. Ha hah hah hah ha!

:-P

You express my secret hopes and imaginations. I just hope that if the Muslims really don´t want to become valued members of our societies and remain ambassadors of the evil empire, they provocate us enough before they´re too many so that we´re going to fill trains and planes with destination Mideast. If they´ll be at more than 15%, a civil war cannot be ruled out.

Perhaps, and equally perhaps the Jye-haddies are reduced (at least temporarily) to "amatuer hour"...

Yeah, it rather looks like an amateur copycat, more wannabe-Qaida than Al-Qaida. But then again, if you look at what happened in Seattle the other day, that's not all that reassuring: Even a stupid f*ck gets lucky from time to time.

I will be so happy when our son leaves Europe. No offense to the Germans here, just time he came home.

Completely understandable feelings for a mother. However, I would say that - in general - Europe is as safe (or dangerous, for that matter) as the US. Yes, after New York there was Madrid and there was London, but on the other hand, millions partied at the FIFA World Cup and nothing happened. It's NOT like Iraq where there's an IED behind every corner.

Genocide is never excusable.

Never? During Israel's ancient past, there was a divine commandment to do just that. In the Old Testment scripture, the Israelites were commanded on occasion to utterly wipe a kingdom, down to the animals, but they failed to do so. The prophet Samuel had to personally finish off a king they had wrongly spared. What qualifies a people that God would determine to wipe them out?

I'll have to be the moderate (probably read "dhimmi") voice here. Most Muslims I met were decent people, typical immigrants owning deli stores, fast food restaurants, or are studying alongside me to either continue their parent's success story and become doctors and lawyers or become worthless pieces of shit...quite like the Germans I study with, except for the scarf or the vow not to drink alcohol. The few really religious probably fanatic muslims I met were rather young, had problems with girls and were spoiled by their parents.

In any case, should there be a real problem soon, I am confident that the German government/police has 5 emergency plans in some drawer for that case. They really love planning and considering the last few challenges like the flood disasters or the World Cup, they are quite capable of it too.

"It's high time Islam had the equivalent of the Protestant reformation."

Sorry, THAT'S WHAT'S GOING ON! The terrorists aren't "islamic radicals," they're the true faithful, leading the reformation! Study the history and "holy" book of our enemy; the last 400 years were an anomaly! They're returning to their principles!

BTW, they do not make peace with infidels; it's against the Koran's teachings!

You raise a good point. Well, I suppose the Amaleks did qualify...

Nonetheless, there would have to be inexcusable evidence that each and every member of a nation, without exception, and each and every one of their possible descendents, without exception, posed a true, massive and eternal threat even as individuals to another people to even begin to qualify.

well you shouldn't say germany is the first nation to get a clue...

they don't hate the muslimes, they don't hate them especially ... they only hate the people who don't work and who are violent... there are many of those immigrants who are violent without any reasons

i'm a german pupil in a school where germans get bullied by those guys

the holocaust is 60 years ago ... i don't understand all the people who still talk about that ... many people think wrong of germany... so you can't associate this with the holocaust

"the holocaust is 60 years ago ... i don't understand all the people who still talk about that"

There you are.
How's your first day on FreeRepublic.com going?

As for not understanding the Holocaust; you need to understand that if one does not understand the historical events of the past -- one will find that those events from an earlier time period are doomed to repeat themselves. That's not good.

that's true but you can't accociate that with the holocaust ... of course things like that could repeat ... but not in germany

the germans don't hate the religion ... they "hate" (hate isn't the right word for that don't know how to describe) other people who don't match to the society

Interesting he should say that.

I've predicted for a few years, that there will be concentration camps in Europe again, before it is over. The only question is, who will be running them. I am not happy about making this prediction, but I believe it is accurate.

Simplifying that, in a rather flip way:

The only good Muslim, is a bad Muslim.

You give an Amish a passport and this is the sort of thing you can expect. What next, armed guards at the Lancaster PA Station?

When I was in Venice, a shop keeper warned me,"Watch out for those Yugoslavians".
