I was also thinking about the earlier post about the Merkava that took two missiles with now injuries. Its a lot harder to kill a tank than a house full of civilians. And Israeli special forces have a tendency to shoot back with a high degree of accuracy so second shots are unlikely.

I would assume they have. They have been doing a lot of work in Southern Lebanon for just this occasion.

I'll bet you're right.

The good launchers have all been blown to bits. They're probably using sections of sewer pipe out of the backs of Toyotas.

If you gut most of it you might as well gut the last room as well. the old electrical and plumbing almost always needs to be replaced. Even if it works right now, when it goes it is a bigger pain to do it after you are all moved in and replace it piecemeal.

I think I'll switch over from this thread to the House and Garden channel for late-breaking war news.

'Disabled children placed inside building'

"We have it from a credible source that Hizbullah, alarmed by Siniora's plan, has concocted an incident that would help thwart the negotiations.

Knowing full well that Israel will not hesitate to bombard civilian targets, Hizbullah gunmen placed a rocket launcher on the roof in Qana and brought disabled children inside, in a bid to provoke a response by the Israeli Air Force. In this way, they were planning to take advantage of the death of innocents and curtail the negotiation initiative," the site stated. The site's editors also claimed that not only did Hizbullah stage the event, but that it also chose Qana for a specific reason: "They used Qana because the village had already turned into a symbol for massacring innocent civilians, and so they set up 'Qana 2'." Notably, the incident has indeed been dubbed "The second Qana massacre" by the Arab media.

Give me some thoughts on what you think may happen.

I think Israel may attack from from the Golan toward Tyre. I think they want to clean out the Bekaa Valley too.

The only worry is Syria will they cross into Lebanon or maybe launch their missiles (WMD?).

I never read the book, but those tunnels were exactly what I was thinking about as well as crossing them with the Maginot line.
