The death of a child is unimaginable. And we should give maximum lattitude to folks who have been so afflicted.
That said, people on the political right can overplay their hands every bit as well as people on the political left. Robert Schindler is coming dangerously close to becoming a mirror image of Cindy Sheehan.

Asserting the position that, "not only did Charlie Crist refuse our family lawful access to the assets of his office" is blatently untrue.

The fact is that those supporting Crist are doing so because he wears the sainted "R" label. Were he to switch to Democrat -- and I know he cannot now at this late date and still run-- he would be denounced by his current supporters.

Robert Schindler is coming dangerously close to becoming a mirror image of Cindy Sheehan.Would you say the same of John Walsh? Nancy Reagan? Even (misguided) libs like Sarah Brady and Dana Reeve?
No, there is a difference between those that turn personal tragedies into worthwhile crusades, and using a tragedy to justify your preexisting madness.

It would be impossible to out flame Cindy Sheehan. Not even Pat Robertson could do that.

How? Did Terri sign a living will while he wasn't looking? Casey Sheehan enlisted against his mother's wishes, and was killed. Terri had a major medical problem for which there are already existing laws that should protect her, including the Federal Americans With Disabilities Act, ADA, and Florida laws on the care of the disabled. She was killed when a State Judge ordered her killed.

Good lord. Mother Sheehan is dancing on her son's grave and dishonoring the very country he died for. Terri was murdered in a slow painful death by her husband and a good number of Florida politicos. Big, huge difference.

At least Sheehan's son had the chance to defend his right to life, Mr. Schindler nor his daughter did, she was MURDERED by their own country!
