Non-smokers aren't dorks, just the ones that go to smoking establishments for the sole reason of bitching about the smokers, once its smoke free they'll never go back.

The way I finally knew I'd kicked the addiction was when I could have a beer with no desire to light up. It took over a year.

Drug addicts rarely, if ever, have success unless forced into a rehab facility. This is only after numerous arrests. Usually, for robbery, murder, etc. If I'm not being too personal, what facility did you go to? Have you spent time in jail for committing crimes to buy cigarettes? 90% of drug addicts spend time in jail for committing crimes to buy drugs..

If I'm reading your point right, you deny that nicotine dependency is an addiction.

Nobody needs a facility if they decide to change things, and stick with their decision. When I got tired of coughing up brown slime for the first few minutes after I got up in the morning, I started to think about quitting. When, one night after the stores were closed and I had no change for the machine in the lobby of the building I lived in, I found myself scrounging through my car's ashtray for a smokeable butt or two, I made the decision.

A few miserable weeks, a number of months of occasional cravings, gradually to "boy, a butt would be great with this beer". After 13 or 14 months the desire was gone.

Good. Looks like smokers are doing their jobs out there. They don't want our money? Cool. Do without it, then. Businesses are a powerful lobby. The ban only goes through because they let it and in some cases encourage it. They do that in my area, and I won't spend a dime, even after I quit smoking. They've done it here in the town where I work, and I actively avoid every business in town now. They should have put up a fight and said that they valued 27% of their customers.

Like one poster said:

If, as a citizen, society does not cater to my interests, why should I cater to the interests of society?

If all you are doing is taking to business owners and telling them your druthers, fine as long as you accept that they should have the right either way. It is the pinheads that want the nanny state to make the business owners do this or that, that I was posting about.

My agenda is that smokers should respect the person and property of others by keeping their smoke, their ashes, and their butts to themselves.

Stay off my property and you won't have a problem........your agenda neither respects me as a person nor my property.

Smoking and non smoking sections worked just fine,

If the business owner declares his place a nonsmoking business, that okay with me I just won't go there. But what gets me is demanding under threat of law that an owner not allow smoking. It is his/her place, let em make up their own minds. That is freedom. People who don't like it don't have to enter.

Not at all. Drug addicts have facilities to help cure their addiction. I only asked which facility, you joined. You refused to answer. Most drug addicts are criminals. You admited to being a drug addict. You never told me the facility that supposedly cured you. What crimes did you commit, to purchase cigarettes? What facility did you enter to end you drug addiction? How much time did you do in prison for crimes to purchase cigarettes?

So you enjoy the spread of fascism in America because you are a, sadist? Those persons and went there willingly.
You said you don't go to smoking places. That proves no one has to. W.A.A.

No, I'm a masochist. I enjoy being called a nazi, gnazi, fascist, and conspirator by the tobacco addicts.

Thank you for your expression of pity.

But remember, "Don't mourn, organize!"

Tell all liberals about the ecoconscious "Ride Your Bicycle to the Polls on Election Wednesday" campaign.

We'll euchre the b$stards yet.

Most drug addicts are criminals.

Is that your assumption because you ASSUME most addicts are hooked on illegal substances or because you ASSUME addicts commit criminal acts separate from their substance use? Or are you suggesting that addiction causes other criminal behavior?

Can you prove that most addicts are criminals?

Nicotine and alcohol are addictive. Neither are illegal for adults. Many pain meds are addictive and consumed legally.

Are you sure that most drug addicts are criminals?

"I only smoke when I drink....I'm up to a pack a day! ;-)"

Good one! Reminded me of a Rodney Dangerfield joke...He said he and his wife were trying to quit smoking so they decided they would only smoke after having sex. Rodney said he was down to one cigarette a month while his wife was up to 2 packs a day!
