Indeed- they are new and clean.

I am unable to wrap my mind around this entire event. The seven hour lapse in time is just irreconcilable.

Have you ever stood in front of a group of people and tried to decide which one of them you were going to ask to do something that would probably kill him?

It's not easy, but sometimes decisions like that have to be made. There's another kind of math like that, deciding which course of action is likely to produce the most dead and injured, and which is likely to produce the least.

Abdicating self defense, for Israel, will get a lot more people killed than putting men and women into harms way in combat. Just so, taking the decision to support those troops, even if the enemy is hiding behind civilians, with devastating indirect fires, will result in the fewest casualty count, overall.

The hardest part of a decision like that is facing the results of it.

You know somebody was going to get it, and seeing that you were right, as close as you can get, seeing a beautiful child turned into a twisted and bloated caricature, will shake your mathematical foundation to the core. Maybe that's a good thing, because it reminds you what happens if you calculate wrong, and that forces you to adhere to the strictest standards when trying to find your way through the matrix.

But avoiding a decision can often be the worst decision of all. I'll ask you right here, since you raise the question.

Here's one dead child, covered in dirt, never to play or laugh again, and here's two lives ones, will you trade the one for the two?

Will you avoid a decision, when it is presented to you, and take the chance of losing all three, or a hundred more?

Or will you do the hardest thing, and make the decision that kills the one, so that the remaining two have a chance to live?

From what I gleaned..they are restriced from air raids in the south near Qana. But that can be made null the instant they are fired on by Hizzballah..

Now I'd love to see the video from Fox and others that were there and see what time they were filming and if they had these same repeat 'poses' with the same individuals but perhaps at even more times than these photos an hour or so apart...it seems like several were live for quite awhile, that this window of the same rescuers with the same victims might even be larger...

I'd also love to rewatch video and know the time and see if we ever see these rescuers dirty. Curious if any of them managed to mention in 'code' (since we know they were being watched in reporting at some points) anything about the very clean rescuers and if any of the show hosts not on scene then conviently could ask the question so at least it was raised...since it's unlikely Greg and others there on the ground could have noted the oddly 'neat' rescue 'process' they were witnessing.

Even the photo on the link with a striped shirt guy (in two photos I believe) that it sort of looks like they want to portray as possibly the dad of the kid seems very clean...which, you'd think either he was there trapped (if it all played out like they want us to think) or else he and others would have been digging like mad to get the trapped out, thus they all should be quite dirty.

Really, even if they want it to appear that the dead were being 'handed off' from rescuers or something doing the actual digging, wouldn't EVERYONE be basically dust covered just being in the area? Between remaining things in the air from the collapse, either being in the rubble themselves and then others stirring it up being in the rubble getting people out, it seems that there should be a layer of dirt and stuff over them from what's in the air. Maybe?

This is definitely very interesting in how it's playing out...and it seems to get more and more 'off' the more time goes on.

Thanks to everyone who's pointing things out that don't fit!

Rocket Attacks from Southern Lebanon Continue
14:43 Jul 31, '06 / 6 Av 5766

(IsraelNN.com) Rocket attacks launched by Hizbullah terrorists from southern Lebanon continued on Monday despite Israel’s agreement to honor a 48-hour moratorium on IAF air strikes on terror targets.

The northern border town of Kiryat Shmona was again struck by rocket fire Monday. The rockets fell in open areas near the town, causing no injuries or damage.

More than half of the residents of Kiryat Shmona have fled to the south in the face of hundreds of missiles slamming into their town, injuring tens of residents and causing heavy damage.

On Sunday, 91 rockets landed in the city. Many of them scored direct hits in the commercial center in town, destroying a number of businesses and vehicles.

They have been fired on. Let's see what happens next.

Not only have they been fired on, the Lebanese PM has basically said they will only accept UN forces for a buffer, not a multinational force and that Rice's plan is unacceptable.

Bibi is starting to speak out too.

So there will be no deal. For all the blather about a ceasefire it has to be settled by trial of fire.

Air Force Provides Cover for Ground Forces
14:59 Jul 31, '06 / 6 Av 5766

(IsraelNN.com) The air force is providing ground cover for IDF infantry forces operating in southern Lebanon.

While Israel has agreed to halt aerial assaults for a 48-hour period, except to prevent imminent attacks, the fighter craft continue to work in concert with infantry troops still in southern Lebanon.

Egypt's Mubarak says UN "impotent" over Lebanon

Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak said on Monday the UN Security Council had revealed its impotence in its response to Israel's conflict with Hizbollah, and again called for an immediate ceasefire.

In an address to the nation, Mubarak said the deadlock between Israel and the Palestinians was the core of the problem and so there was an urgent need to revive peace talks. (Reuters)
