Let's pray that Israel finishes Hezbullah off now.
The United States and Israel and every sentient being in the path of the Islamist crusade are teetering on the brink of a massive defeat in Lebanon and thus in the war on terror. Lest it be forgotten, this is a war that began with the Ayatollahs revolution in Iran in 1979 which established the first radical Islamic state whose masters war cry was Death to America and the establishment of a global Islamic empire. Nearly thirty years later, Iran is on the verge of acquiring nuclear weapons and its imperial war is now being waged on Irans Lebanese frontier by its Hezbollah proxy. One month into the fighting which began with the attacks by Hamas and Hezbollah on the state of Israel, the scenario for the Wests defeat in this phase of the war is quite obvious and quite simple.
The appeasers of Islamofascism, who have been calling for a ceasefire and bewailing civilian casualties in Lebanon and Gaza, will succeed. Hezbollah will agree to turn over its arms to the pro-Hezbollah Lebanese army. The pro-Hezbollah UN will establish a security zone on Lebanons southern border to keep the area clear of non-government militias, of which the Hezbollah militia is the only one. The credulous in the Western camp will greet this as a victory for the peacemakers. But exactly the opposite will be the case.
According to a recent poll in Lebanon eighty percent of the Lebanese Arabs support Hezbollah. In other words, just as Hamas, which was created by the same Muslim Brotherhood that spawned al-Qaeda, is now the Palestinian government, so Hezbollah will emerge as the government of Lebanon. The Lebanese army will become the new Hezbollah militia. Only it wont be a militia. It will be the terrorist army of a sovereign power, with the right to openly negotiate its arms deals with Syria and Iran. The next battle with Iran, in other words, will be World War III.

The security cabinet approved early Tuesday morning expanded ground operations in Lebanon, while the IDF, under the assumption that only a few days were left for the operations against Hizbullah
Actually Bush could give them all the time they need, while looking like he is working for peace. Think about it. He has already said that there will be no US or UK peacekeepers in Lebanon. So who is going to make up this international force that is going to go toe to toe with Hizbullah and almost certainly face combat? Is it going to be France, Russia, Switzerland, Honduras or Pago Pago? And that would require a mixed nationality force to be assembled, supplied and moved into position. But none of the likely players have serious sea lift capacity near Lebanon. France would take time to mobilize and the Black Sea ports are no longer in Russian hands. They would have to sail around Europe and through the Med. Or they would have to wast time fixing all the blown bridges. Israel can put a few more bombs into the airport to be sure they can't fly them in. Lets face it the maritime powers can put an infantry force anywhere in the world in a few days. But the rest of these jokers would take a month just to get their equipment in theater.
And if Bush really wants to play it cool he could call for Security Council hearing to debate the cease fire agreement and agree on the composition of the peace keepers. Just ordering room service for the bunch of UN pigs would take days. Think how the North Koreans spent weeks arguing about a round or square table during the end of the Korean War. We could play that game as well. You appear calm and completely reasonable, but use the UN's own bureaucracy to tie the whole peace process up in an infinite ball of red tape.
And all the while Israel can keep on pounding Hizbullah forward into the stone age. I don't know if they have the guts to do it, but there is nothing to say they couldn't.

I saw the Gillerman vs BORe "interview". He obviously believes ratings = wisdom/analytical ability. He truly has no clue. He didn't get the "chimp" reference in the Rice cartoon, more proof of the link between the American left and anti-American actions around the world.
Thank God when Ms. Malkin put him in his place when she basically said, "Truth matters".

As someone who has gone through entire summers in New Orleans with minimal or no A/C, I can give you some advice:
Lots and lots of fluids. It really makes a difference. Make sure you get enough salt, too. 1 cup of gatorade for every 2 cups of water is good if you are really getting into a sweat.
Fans.
Being a person who doesn't like 200 and 300 dollar utility bills in the summer, I tend to not turn on the A/C until the house gets over 85. But I am sure I have 10 fans of different sizes and types going right now.
Light clothes, lots of fluids and moving air surely make the difference.

I'm speculating, based upon all the rhetoric from Armedinejad that he has been spouting. As I said, "IMHO." Nothing more than that.
