Vote in Israeli cabinet not to have a cease fire was unanimous with one abstention. Israel still buying time -- estimate is ten days needed.

When we were looking for Yammouni, we found it has a fault as well as a shifting plate. Pray, it could happen. I hope it happens 'Ten Commandments' style too.

Thanks. The cousin in Afghanistan is on his last tour. I thought he was to come home at the end of the year, but I'm wondering if it might be earlier with NATO troops taking over in the south. I'm hoping.

This Malcolm guy on Batchelor...was asked how long the Israelis have.
He said that he figures "they" would be pushing for a UN Resolution by the end of the week..and then a few more days or so to get the International force figured out..and then longer to get them there...
He sounded like if they could get 10 days to 2 weeks just by taking all of the time all of the above would take...then Israel "might" be able to do what they feel they can.
I just can't imagine how they are going to come up with a PLAN for an international force, what their "duties" will be...and assemble them, arm them, house them, in less than 10 days...and that doesn't take into consideration how long Bolton could drag out the negotiations on a UN resolution...
Even then....whose to say he would approve it....with Syria, Iran and FRANCE trying to call the shots..with Kofi added in the mix....I am SURE the ideas they come up with are NOT going to be in Israel or the USA's interest.

It may be a dramatic, but look at what is happening: (1) Iran set this up and imported all the arty and missiles to Hesbo in June timeframe, (2) Tells Hezbo to go capture Iraeli soldiers, etc., (3) Starts the arty barrage. Hmmmm.... now they probably didn't think Israel would go as far as they would, but they had to have that as an option, and I think they have planned for it. Iran doesn't care - they only want time to finish the uranium extraction so they can load it onto a missile head.
Saudi Arabia et al should be having a fit of vapors right now. Iran means business. I have to believe the US is on this and is "playing" the game.

That's why Mr. President (ours) said this morning, in unequivocal terms, "Iran must end its financial support and supply of weapons to terrorist groups like Hezbollah. Syria must end its support for terror and respect the sovereignty of Lebanon."
I have to admit that I was very depressed yesterday when they announced the bombing halt. The press was reporting it like a cease fire and that would have been a big victory for the freaks in turbans. But they let a good lawyer write up the agreement, only Southern Lebanon, Artillery, Mortars and Tanks OK, etc.. Looks like Bush and Israel have learned to play the UN game just like Iran. Threaten to veto any UN resolution that means anything, but allow through drivel that call for "Peace in our time". Agree to a cease fire, that helps diffuse the press, but that in reality doesn't cease anything. Call for a peaceful resolution that when viewed in detail can only be accomplished when every member of Hezbollah is resting in peace (or pieces if you prefer). I can't say that I feel great about how this is going, but I certainly feel a lot more positive than I did 24 hours ago.

Thanks. I went and looked out of curiosity. Interesting pics. He's a man who stirs strong emotions in people, both positive and negative. There is one picture of him and I think Yoni in military uniform (going through a door with guns). Those are two of the most heartwrenchingly beautiful young men I've ever seen in my life.
I've heard him described as 'abrasive,' although his enemies say that about John Bolton too, don't they?
I agree with Lizarde that Bibi could stand to lose a little weight. But then couldn't we all.
