U.N. PWNED
Johnathon is so over the top it's almost comic. I've been toying with thinking that he's doing it on purpose.
FWIW, IIRC I saw a report from Palkot today on one of the villages that got levelled in southern Lebanon. Palkot made sure to show the military gear littering the village, shells, launchers, etc. I couldn't help but wonder how he got that past his minder. Unless Palkot waited 'til the minder was off taking a leak or something.
For example, was Condi's statement what she thought, or was it something she needed to say in order to let the moderate Arabs know that Israel is operating independently? Di Omert lie to her, change his mind, or operate according to an agreed-to script?
And that's just those two. When you add in the media, the lower-level state department weenies, the liberals in the Israeli government, etc. there are just too many variables to make any speculation productive.

CNN Breaking news email:
-- Israel plans to call up thousands more reservists after Cabinet approved expanding ground war in Lebanon, Reuters reports quoting Israel Radio.
Someone earlier today (or maybe yesterday) said we needed an Israeli leader who would (figuratively speaking) step into his 67' Shelby fastback, slick his hair back, straighten his aviator shades, unleash a YEEEEEEEEEEEHAWWWWWWWWW, and mash the accelerator to the floor.
I think Olmert's alter ego just stepped out, realized being a sissy the rest of his life would suck.
Palcott is also the one whose film showed people being brought out on stretchers and then getting up off of them. I saw it twice yesterday, but with no commentary about the "injured and dead" folks. I wouldn't have noticed it myself, but another observant freeper was discussing it on perhaps the sunday talk show thread or yesterday's middle east live thread.
"" Iran sending 10 planeloads of "aid" to Lebanon.""
Wonder just exactly what kind of * aid * will be in those planes?
I wonder if those planes will even be allowed into Lebanon. I imagine Israel would be even more suspicious than we are about their cargo.
And here I thought Qatar was one of the good guys.

Man, it sure is noisy!! I think that's the most I've heard...outgoing that is.
Interesting analysis, Txsleuth. I wonder if the whole thing was a sham. That way the White House could say, "Hey, we tried, I guess Israel is tired of the incessant terror.."
I am worried about them!
Haaratz ticker quiet on sirens and strikes.
"Do you think it is possible that the Hezzidiots sacrificed these people on purpose? Not only used them as shields, but provoked Israel to attack there while they slept, and the men high tailed it out in advance to continue the fight. At first I thought, ah no way, and then I remembered that they aren't human and how they all seriously dream of their sons becoming martyrs."
Just jumpin' in here after closing out at work... After watching that video of the Israelis taking out that Hezzie launch site about 30 seconds after the missiles are launched, yeah, that's probably exactly what happened. (I'd hightail it out too(!) it's just that I would not have set up beside a building full of civilians.) If there was a crater NEAR the building and the building took 7 hours to come down, that would imply to me that maybe the Israeli missile was dead on target, and the other stuff may have been faked. I sure wouldn't put it past Hezbollah to kill their own civilians if it helped them with the propaganda.
Israel plans to call up thousands more reservists after Cabinet approved expanding ground war in Lebanon
I wonder if this is in addition to the 3 reserve divisions called up the late last week.
Another intersting point - "thousands" of reservists could be another brigade or two or full mobilization. I'd be a little nervous right about now if i was a male 18+ year old south of the litani or in the Syrian army
