Does their culture even allow autopsies? Notice I refrained from saying 'religion'.

From what I have heard and read very few autopies are done in the ME due to their rituals of burial....

Chief rabbis: Fighting soldiers exempt from Tisha B'Av fast
Israel's Chief Rabbis Yona Metzger and Shlomo Amar ruled that soldiers fighting in Lebanon are exempt from the Tisha B'Av fast.
"Soldiers in combat are exempted from fasting on Tisha B'Av because the fast disrupts their ability to fight and this could save their or their colleagues lives," the rabbis said in a statement. (Ynet)

Actually, it was the Iranian and Lebanese Foreign Ministers standing in front of a Palestinian Flag.
The Iranian guy pledges planeloads of aid (weapons) to Lebanon, and they both gave racist speeches against the Zionists.
To: Lizarde
Ohhhhhh...that makes it even MORE interesting. His speech was strong- if they're discussing heavier ground intervention he may have decided (with the help of some generals and Bibi) to go for it.

They are replaying a translated speech now on CNN Pipeline...it is pretty strongly worded...
I dont think Israel will quit until Hezbollah is destroyed.

Yeah, but an extended camping trip to the Smoky Mountains *always* sounds good.

Olmert's speech? It's VERY moving.
BTW- I've not thanked you recently for being so dedicated and continuing these threads. Great work, BK:)

I may be reading way too much into what has (or in this case hasn't) reported today. But i believe today is the first day we have not heard an Israeli spokesman (govt/military or otherwise) say "we are not looking for war with Syria"

I told her about Fr. Morris not "poo-pooing" the audience question about the end times; that he said it did seem as though events were coming together; BUT that he also said "They have been saying this for 2000 years," (which he said with a grin) I keep having the feeling like this is either the start of WWIII and possibly "end times" thing, or the plot out of a Tom Clancy novel.

I'm not explaining right, I think (I'm pretty useless in the heat, I admit). Bibi spoke freely about how he thought Israel should handle it -- in general terms, of course -- that Israel should go in with overwhelming force and utterly defeat hezb'allah. He was not saying that's what Israel would do, and I just had the uneasy feeling that he wasn't sure they would.

Agree 100%. Never has a person or organization better fit the old saying, "You're either part of the solution or you're part of the problem."
The Lebanese government and people have to be among the most foolish on all the planet.
