A conservative is racist, fascist, anti-semitic, sexist and homophobic. Mel Gibson played to the Left's stereotype of a conservative. That alone damns him no matter how sincere his remorse might be.

The Jews/Israel has and will always be God's chosen people, and the Genital world ( or believers ) were in grafted into the family of the chosen people by God by Jesus Christ and fulfilled God's promises in the Bible.
It has always been God's salvation plan to save the world to use the nation of Israel to bring salvation to the world.
The Jews and the believers in Christ are all of God's chosen people, the Bible says it, and no one can detract from it, and if someone has a problem with it, then they have a problem with God's plan and Holy word.

Gibson's done all possible to express contrition IMO. He cannot be prosecuted or punished, he does not have to provide a cash award to the ADL.

Those who accept his apology will conitnue to watch his movies, those who don't, won't. Thats all this will amount to.

To me,it's sad and absurd that it matters this much what a person who makes a living by play-acting in front of a camera,says at all. Why do we give this much credence to entertainers? I think they had a point in the old days when the boarding houses had signs that read "No actors allowed". My gosh,they act for a living! What in that makes what they say(whatever they say),matter so much??

For what should the apology have been enough?

I have never understood the purpose of these collective apologies in these sort of instance. From any direction.

For what did Gibson apologize? Did he apologize for being an anti Semite? Why? If he thought it was wrong, he wouldn't be one.

If an anti Semite, he was one before the apology and after. What did the apology change?

The ADL believes him to be an anti Semite, as do I. He can apologize for a thousand years, so what? He remains what he is proved to be.

To some it matters, positively or negatively. To some it doesn't.
