Suffer the Little Children to Come Unto Me
"And they brought young children to Him, that He should touch them: and His disciples rebuked those that brought them. But when Jesus saw it, He was much displeased, and said unto them, Suffer the little children to come unto Me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God."
(Mark 10:13-14)
Jesus did not say suffer the children to come unto Him, except those born to Muslim parents. Remember the children of Beslan, Russia? The people to blame for this morning's tragedy are the Islamofacist ADULTS, men who commit wanton slaughter and the women -- the women who let their men strap bombs on their children, and who teach their children to commit murder-suicide. Condem them, but pray for the innocents, for whom there is NO choice.
Beautiful children used by their parents who hate Jews more than they love their children. Well, then send them here where they will be loved more than American hate. And they will be safe.
It's enough to make me weep that parents care so little for their children. The older I get, the more I don't understand the cruelty of people.
I know that what Israel is doing is the correct cause of action, and I guess I'm just glad we didn't have the media we have today to see the civilian casualties of WWII as we and our allies bombed Germany and Japan. The war would have been over if we had this media today, and the killing of Jews would have continued beyond the already unendurable Final Solution.
I know it was hard for you to say that to him, but it's a good thing you did. That let him know if he had to kill a child that you would understand, and in fact, wanted him to do what he had to do to save himself and those around him. Don't beat yourself up over it. I would have said the same thing if I had a son going to Iraq. Tell your son that I appreciate what he is doing to protect me, and my family, and I thank him from the bottom of my heart. I will pray for him daily, as I pray for our service men and women who are in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Thank you....I so appreciate the prayers for him and our troops....God Bless them all!
You're welcome.
Not sure how your statement applies to the current hostilities.
Pray for those in the grip of Islamic fundamentalism instead, okay. Look, IMHO, it goes back to what God demanded the ancient Israelis to do once they occupied the Promised Land and that was to obey the dictates of the ordered Herem (literally liquidating every man, woman and CHILD, plus all livestock in the new land). He did not order it because he desired blood, he ordered it, IMHO, because he did not want the Israelites taking booty (making concubines of captive women) and because He knew the future. The Israelites disobeyed.
Secondly, the Arab nation was, according to Scripture, created because Abraham would not wait on the Lord. Abraham took Sarah's handmaiden and impregnated her with Ishmael (the first born and birth right bearer) but God desired him to wait for the miracle he promised, the miracle of Isaac from an aged, post-menopausal Sarah...
God made a great nation of Ishmael just as He did for Isaac, but somewhere around 400 B.C. it became fascinated with a little-known leader of trade caravans named Muhammad who basically invented a new religion from what he knew of the Old Testament--only spiced with fictional accounts of him being able to leap through space on horseback, etc. The religion at first was peaceful, but over time Muhammad added new tenets as he grew into old age and senility. The new tenets allowed for outright violence against any enemy; rather than that of "love your neighbor" Christianity or "forgiveness" prescribed in Judaism.
Over the years, interpretation of Islam became more and more radical and unreasonable. I, among others, saw this religion as a danger to humankind but until Sept. 11, 2001, I was still willing to tolerate it. Now, no more!
If I am walking through the woods and see a rabid animal I will shoot it; and should I discover its den and its offspring to be rabid too, I reason that I should shoot them as well. Sorry you cannot understand this.
HAHAHA! Want some cheese with that?
Then you are purposefully dense.
Israel had the choice of sitting back, doing nothing while absorbing enemy attacks, or, in your words, saying "okay you want a fight, let's have one."
It is not a matter of WANTING a fight; it is a matter of being forced to either fight or be killed.
Do you honestly think Hezballah, Hamas, Islamic Jihad, and all the rest would not keep attacking and indiscriminately killing, until evey Israeli was dead, if Israel refused to fight?
I seemed to be saying nothing of the kind.
What I seemed to be saying is that it is inappropriate to mourn excessively for the enemy's dead before a victory has been achieved.
Click your way through this presentation, lots of pics.

whoops, sorry about the double post...
This is what Hizbollah wanted: props.
This entire display of photos just serves as a reminder to me that this is exactly the fate these Islamofascists have in mind for my kids. It's us or them, period. Emotional reactions should not be considered when it's survival we face. The minute you allow emotion to creep in, you're toast. Can I "feel" sad for the lives lost today- you bet. But if that overrides my natural instinct to survive I can just as easily bury it and be done with it. I've read no mention of the fact that not only were these children and their mothers duped, but so is Hizbollah, fighting a proxy war for that monkey in Iran.
Not as far as I'm concerned. I'm a big proponent of NOT sugar coating any terrorist attack.
Can't argue with a word you posted.
Thanks mystery. I know how hard it was for you earlier today, so thanks for stopping back. While having dinner, I happened to catch up to the interviews given today by Israeli officials. Seems they have been saying almost the identical things I have been on this thread.
They know Israel, the United States and our allies, are all held to an exceptionally high -- and unfair -- standard of behavior. But none of them were whining like bvw and others on this thread. The Israeli ambassador to the U.S. acknowledge the terrible black eye this is for Israeli efforts to clean out Hezbollah. He mourned the deaths of the Lebanese children and said (I'm paraphrasing) Israel's goal is to try to build a better future for all children.
Exactly!
As for bvw, he (or she?) is an hysterical dope, and I won't waste another moment on him. Virtually everyone else who disagreed with me today did so within the bounds of respectful dialogue. Only this fool resorted to a gutter diatribe. Enough said.
