you seem to be saying that Israel committed an atrocity today, but that we should discuss it only at some future date, in the proper "season." I seemed to be saying nothing of the kind.
What I seemed to be saying is that it is inappropriate to mourn excessively for the enemy's dead before a victory has been achieved.

I can agree with your statement only because of your use of the word excessively. As tragic as today's events were, neither we nor Israel can afford to let them deter us from slamming the Islamofacists as hard as we possibly can.
