I wonder if Russert will ask the Israeli ambassador if he thinks this is all because Bush invaded Iraq?

Actually, it always surprises me that Face the Nation is able to attract such high-quality guests. I never watch it, but must say bagging Siniora and Peres for today's edition is quite impressive.
Why do such high-level newsmakers appear on the least-watched news program?
Good thing that Biden or Hagel free sunday. I however don't understand Russert's continuous(one hour on CNBC) flirting with NYTimes' secretary of state. Why would Wallace want to insert Iraq topic today with Bremer?
I usually only watch FNS. I may have to watch Gillerman tell timmy how the cow ate the cabbage.
All first come, first served. They may not know the ratings of each show. Both of them were on with almost all networks the past few days. I think people like Nethanyahu would be much more interesting (even Israeli PM Omert says this in JPost).
I think Russert, our MSM & dems could learn a thing or two from Israeli journos, media & opposition on unity in war time.
Perhaps in response to this week's testimony by the general nominated as commandant of the Marine Corps. He pretty much laid the bad decisions in Bremer's lap---disbanding the Iraqi army and banning Baathists from gov't positions.
Could you elaborate on that?!
(I've been at the lake out of TV news range for the past week and that sounds intriguing.)
I'm sure they're appalled by their lack of "objectivity".
thanks so much for the thread....
I am on a rampant rage of ranting.....
I AM SO TICKED!
I was laying in bed- just lingering on the verge of conscienceness......I could here the TV...(FOX on)
I heard them talking of all the "civilian" deaths.
maybe because I wasn't watching- but just listening- I picked up on it more quickly than I normally would- but I heard the blond bimbo.....she said the following with the biggest smile in her voice.....
"It makes you wuuuuunder just how ENRAGED the Arab nations are going to be............especially since some of them almost defended Israel's right to defend herself."
I couldn't believe my ears! WHAT THE HELL!? IS THIS FUNNY TO HER!?
Is this some little GAME to her? Does she feel like a sybling who has just went and told on her sister and can't wait to see how much trouble she gets into? THAT is EXACTLY what her tone was like...not to mention-- How dare she GOAD Arabs on- into being "ENRAGED." Why not the Arabs should be ENRAGED that HEZBULLAH HIDE under SKIRTS and in BABY CARRIAGES!
Why not the Arabs be ENRAGED that these terrorists incite violence on a daily basis- screaming "Death to America" and "Death to Israel"- march in the streets- talk all tough- then they START this war- and suddenly they are hiding......
I am SO TICKED!
that little blond bimbo is lucky she is NYC........VERY LUCKY! I am sick of the media thinking that this is some kind of joke.
I am sick of the media giving CPR to terrorist and constantly breathing life and hope into the enemy...
costing COUNTLESS lives- of civilians (on both sides of this war) and our troops.....
I am just SICK OF IT!!!!!
Friedman seems to be turning up everywhere lately (well, on CNBC, MSNBC) as an expert on everything. Just a few weeks ago he was an expert on GM. Now he's an expert on the ME conflict. Must be nice to be so learned. What a putz!
Perhaps the rude treatement of Ailes, with over half the audience walking out on his speech will be a wakeup call.
He's never going to be one of the boys so why not go back to FNC conservative roots.
I am sticking with blogs.
Great rant EC glad to see you up so early this morning. I hope everyone pays attention to EC's post because this is what wins elections! It's called passion. Without it we lose and the RAT party which survives on emotional responses alone has a shot.
(Good morning all and thanks once again for the thread AB much appreciated.)
Interesting guests on all the shows today. I was very impressed with Gillerman, the Israeli UN Ambassador's speech to the UN a few weeks ago, so I will have to break my 'boycott' of MTP.
Only 6 years ago the Tom Friedman & NYT endorsed Lieberman to become the Vice President of the United States. Today the same NYT says he is not even worthy of being a US Senator and endorsed his opponent in democratic primary. Funny, idiotic or BDS?
