What are they gonna do? Hold the UN hostage or start firing missiles from the roof?

Yep, I always take my toddlers to protests that could get violent, don't you?

Sure, if I'm raising them to be good little IslamoNazis. Those are "civilians" according to the MSM.

Not the brightest bulbs, obviously similar to their brother Palistinians.

"Verrry interesting how quickly this "impromptu" crowd got their PA system up and going. Actually, it looks like a day at the park with all the moms walking around with their little bitty kids. Yep, I always take my toddlers to protests that could get violent, don't you?"

This map shows why they can take their kids to about NINETY-EIGHT PERCENT of Beirut, because Israel has only bombed about ONE PERCENT of it. The black spots on the map show where Israel has bombed so far.

Behind the scenes, it's entirely possible Condi said to the nincompoop, Look, you want ceasefire? Hezbollah releases the kidnapped soldiers and stops firing rockets into Israel, then we'll at least TALK about a ceasefire.

We really don't know what is being said privately.

Publicly, Condi's just very sad about the whole thing and wishes for a ceasefire.

However, Bush has made it crystal clear that a mere ceasefire with nothing more, is useless. And he has blamed Hezbollah, Syria and Iran for everything. I mean everything.

That's why I don't get worked up against Bush and Rice like some others I could name.

"I suspect the mob will be moving to the U.S. embassy next."

We have enough assets close by to deal with that little "mistake". Time to take out the street masses with cluster bombs.

Every time some jerk cries over dead children, we should force them to show pictures of their "children" firing mortars, or AK's, or in uniform carrying grenades etc. Weird, only muzzie children wear uniforms? I have at least a dozen such pictures! Seems to negate "innocents" claim!

"Not a hair better be harmed of any of those U.N. employees, or the Hez-Elbonians will really in trouble."

Not another sternly worded letter? Oh the humanity of it!

Nuke these animals! Lebanon is nothing but a den of islaminazi lovers now. When "Christians" support head choppers, they are no longer Christian. Lebanon is lost; destroy all that is left and salt the Earth! I'm tired of dealing with this enemy with half-measures! (rant off)

If you will recall the crowds in Lebanon after Hariri was murdered.

Many many people in the street protesting that murder and demanding that Syria leave Lebanon.

The most shocking thing was to see the size of the competing demonstrations supporting Syria's occupation of Lebanon.

Those in favor of the terrorists are still there, making their points now with the help of the world's Israel hating media.

Well..Well- isn't it time for Kofi Annan to make a statement saying the people of Beirut INTENTIONALLY STORMED THE UN EMBASSY? Let's watch how he handles the trashing of the UN offices- I'll bet he blames Israel for the evil deeds the Arabs thrive upon.

Agreed. He was very focused the other day with Blair. I would hate to think that 'George has gone wobbly' now.

The PM refused to negotiate anything without a complete cease fire. Shows where his heart is at.

I wonder how long until it occurs to him that that gives Israel more time to complete the necessary job--hopefully enough time for them to FINISH the necessary job.

It does show his heart is in a dark and evil place. It also shows he has no brain at all. None. Zero. Nada. Zip. Appropriate for a groveling Nasrallah puppet.

"Kofi must wonder to himself where did I go wrong? I gave my heart and soul as cover for these people, and now they attack my glorious organization the UN??? Where did I fail them?????"

Kofi could give a crap. He's there for the money and perks.

And Kofi is a short timer. His tenure is up this December, I believe.

Saw this on Fox. No excuse for the rampage. The only thing these people in the Middle East know how to do is break stuff. Must be in their genes. A product of inbreeding. Makes you wonder whether or not we will EVER be able to alter their thought process.

From the article you posted. I am sorry that the UN peacekeepers were used as pawns and were killed, but their deaths have helped focus attention on the meaning of the word "peacekeeper" as used by the UN.

The safe position to take on the Middle East today is that there needs to be an immediate "ceasefire."

A ceasefire maintained by "peackeepers."

Let's examine those two terms.

To begin, here's what a "ceasefire" would mean right now.

It would mean Hezbollah gets to reload.

Believing that a ceasefire between Hezbollah and Israel right now would bring any real peace to Lebanon, Israel, or the region, is as naive as believing that a United Nations peacekeeping force in southern Lebanon would do the same.

There's been a UN peacekeeping force in southern Lebanon for almost 30 years.

Anyone notice any peace breaking out there recently?

I have zero sympathy for the Hezbians and their supporters.

Me neither. However, if they will attack the UN instead of women and children somewhere, well, thats an improvement.

From the UN's own lips, what the UN's idea of peacekeeping is...

From this link:

As to your first question, no, this is a peacekeeping mission. Their job, if they saw Hezbollah or some other group doing something inconsistent with how it is supposed to be, would be to knock on the door and say please don't do this. They wouldn't go in with guns blazing.

Peacekeeping...

SNORT.
