Israeli combat soldiers walk along the Israeli northern border with Lebanon. US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice is pursuing a new round of Middle East diplomacy as the Lebanon conflict moved into its 19th day, with Israel and Hezbollah exchanging firepower and threats in defiance of international moves toward a ceasefire
Getting the new thread ready?
Pinz
Looks like it was before the strike, and can be implemented now as well.
check out news on post 2316
IAF???? Was the ceasefire only in Southern Lebanon?
Yah...but ya'll keep hanging around...so, if you guys are going to stay..then we might as well invite yoni to join us.
Besides, I think that ya'll have to have some hope that you are wrong about it being "over"..otherwise you wouldn't still be posting here...and are hoping that someone will post something to convince you that it will work out.
C'mon, tell me I'm right....just a little??
ha! caught them trying to RE-ARM?
The fact still remains that the Israelis had warned the populace to leave, repeatedly. even resorting to telephone calls to the "hitee" telling them to get the hell out of the way.
Why didn't they leave? Could it be that they were prevented from leaving?
Everyone jumped to conclusions on this hit awfully fast, didn't they? Tony Blair crapped his pants, Kofi "the Jew-hater", was oh, so upset.
Was Kofi as upset when his UN "peacekeepers" were caught, quite literally, with their pants down? That little episode was swept under the rug pretty quickly, wasn't it?
But, without investigation, there is condemnation, hand-wringing, and kvetching.
Lost in all of this, is the Lebanese PM, thanking Hezbollah for their sacrifice during this war.
Thanks, Peach. You're wonderful. I see bvw doesn't have the courage of his (or her?) convictions since he didn't ping me to whatever he was saying on this thread. Not that it matters. :)
I heard what Olmert said and it didn't include anything about the Hezzies. What I heard was how sorry he was for the civilian deaths and I thought "where is the condemnation for the Hezzies having them there".
watching it right now
Israel said that they would cancel the promised cease fire if they detected any troop or supply movements.
"IAF???? Was the ceasefire only in Southern Lebanon?"
That's right. Fox News was the only one that mentioned that fact, but I didn't want to mention it until IAF acted on it.
