I've been having probs viewing videos lately. Not sure why as my computer is new and I have both ie and firefox. Wireless connection has been screwy for the past 3 weeks...about since NK fired missiles. One of my twins has wireless and lives about an hour from me. She has noticed the same thing.
I think he's been doing it about midnight eastern. not quite that time yet....
YES..it is very hard to watch....BUT, very necessary, because there is a good chance the US is in the process of possibly making the same mistakes...both in Lebanon and in Iraq.
France, Lebanon to deploy to border with Israel
Well it is just a proposal at the UN by France!
The AP has a more accurate title:
wow CNN is actually making it clear how not reacting and pulling out fueled Bin Laden (including Somalia)
Then we see that Hezbollah starts sending missles into Israel over night. The US response in getting nationals out was made more difficult. The conjunction of these events is disturbing for the fact that is shows that Iran, Chiona and N. Korea are quite capable of causing strategic diversions for the USA and its allies.
At the same time China observes to see what the US military does when its stretched thin, what vulnerable areas are created or exposed in the USA military system that can be taken advantage of next time.
This is a serious strategic situation which has very important for long term US military planning and flexability.
The Taepodong 2 disintegrated on launch because it was never supposed to do anything else accept root the attention of the world on it. Kim Jung Il was on a train into Russia, and wasn't even in the country through most of it.He might have been briefing Putin on what he wanted communicated at the G8.This was weird, Kim Jung Il is paranoid about leaving his country to travel, will not fly , and took his armored train to Russia, making people believe that the Taepodong attack was ON for real.
It was difficult to watch. Has always been difficult to just think of.
THAT ladies, was a very good documentary...but, in it's own way, as scary at the Obsession video.
When it got to the point when Caspar Weinberger pulled the plug on the strike on Hezbollah's Bekaa Valley headquarters..I wanted to scream!
wow I know, but I am glad I watched that
LOL...yeppers, the CLINTON News Network COULD get in trouble with it's liberal political viewers.
Gotta Give John Roberts some credit, I guess. This was obviously re-edited recently.
Screw protecting the mosques.
Wow, in hindsight, it is just unbelievable that Caspar Weinberger did what he did. I guess it was hard to imagine back then how all of this would eventually end up.
doesn't it really make you wonder WHY he did it? What deal he made?
Have you noticed the news coming out of Israel lately has been more pessimistic than one would expect? Israel censors their news, so why paint such a picture.
Anyone have any ideas, or am I just getting tired?
I've got alot of researching and reading to educate myself more about the Beirut bombing. I can't imagine what kind of deal he would've made with anyone.....geez I wish I had paid attention to the world when I was a young woman.
I'm having to spend ALOT of time late at night now...trying to learn all that I never bothered paying attention to.
I don't know the answer to your question, re: the pessimistic news out of Israel...
The news seemed to ebb and flo...from Israel pounding Hezbollah and Lebanon...to Israel possibly backing off on the goal of getting rid of Hezbollah..
Also, there have been rumors of infighting with Israeli leadership..
Having just watched that CNN special about what happened before, during, and after the Marine barracks were blown up in Beirut, in 1983....it makes more sense to believe there is infighting that COULD change history.
That may sound melodramatic...but after watching Obsession and that special...the WORLD is melodramatic right now.
I remember when the Marines were hit in '83
We were still not that far from when our embassy people were held in Iran for over a year and early 80s much war activity throughout the Middle East.
No retaliation as we were walking a fine line with several countries in the area, right or wrong.
One of those subjects to know the big picture as to what and why.
Sirens sounding in Hafia per Ynet and Haaretz, didn't Israel threaten to target Beirut highrises if Hafia was hit again
well...that's when you get the TV back, right? LOL (again)
