(IsraelNN.com) Firefighters from the ground and air are battling raging forest fires throughout the Galilee following Friday afternoon's weave of rocket attacks by Hizbullah terrorists. More than a dozen Katyushas exploded in the areas of Ma'alot, Carmiel, Rosh Pina and Kiryat Shmona, where several people were treated for light injuries and shock.
The fires are a daily occurrence in open areas where the rockets frequently fall without causing injury. More than half a million trees, a valuable part of Israel's limited nature reserves, have been destroyed by the terrorist attacks. The trees are exceptionally dry due to the lack of rain since the end of the winter several months ago.
