Sources say Mee was told Gibson's comments would incite a lot of "Jewish hatred," that the situation in Israel was "way too inflammatory." It was mentioned several times that Gibson, who wrote, directed, and produced 2004's "The Passion of the Christ," had incited "anti-Jewish sentiment" and "For a drunk driving arrest, is this really worth all that?" The article had me until this.
The article is bulls**t.

What do you mean he's done? You obviously don't know or understand Hollywood that well. His stock will just go up! Hollywood REWARDS those who do this type of crap. What I don't like is, if true, that he went on an anti Semitic tirade let alone berating the cops. Besides, Mel doesnt' need hollywood to make movies. He proved that with Passion of the Christ. Too bad Marlon Brando isn't still alive. Both him and mel would have been great together on Larry King blaming everything on the Jews! (that's sarcasm for some of your humorless conservatives on here).

Yes - but unless you're Jesse Jackson or Calypso Louie, I don't think you get a pass for the Jew comments.

I hope it's fake. I like Gibson and most of his movies. I almost never boycott people for their political views. But I won't give dollar one to an anti semite.

I call BS until this is corroborated by other media.
