An Israeli soldier waves a tattered Hezbollah flag as he returns from fighting around the southern Lebanese village of Marun Al-Ras to a position along Israel's northeastern border with its neighbour. Israel geared up to intensify its deadly offensive against Lebanon, readying thousands more reservists after claiming it had won the green light from the world to crush Hezbollah.

We are. Hubby loves that movie. :) Both Bill Macy and Frances McDormand were brilliant in that movie, and so were the two scuzzes.
It's a regional ethnic outfit. Wearing it is a compliment and sign of respect and appreciation to her hosts.
At any rate, Condi could wear a gunny sack and still look good. I think she's lovely.
Thanks for the good wishes. We're hearing a lot of chatter about "something big" coming down here. People are getting premonitions as well. (I'm one of them.)
I believe the good guys are ready for 'em. ;-)
Personally, I hope it's al Sadr's last stand. That when the dust settles, he is metaphyscially challenged. Room temperature. Hanging out with Zarq and Uday and Qusay.
I'll "hope" right along with ya!!!
Coalition forces conduct raid near BayjiBAGHDAD, Iraq Coalition forces killed a senior local leader for al-Qaida in Iraq and captured three suspected terrorists during a raid in the vicinity of Bayji Tuesday morning.
The raid successfully targeted the newly-appointed al Qaida in Iraq leader of Bayji, who was reportedly a foreign terrorist. The targeted terrorist was suspected of being a member a local Mujahidin Shura Council for the Bayji area also.
The ground troops encountered an improvised explosive device (IED) in route to the target, but the effect was insignificant to the operation.
The terrorist leader fled the scene when security forces arrived at the target. He was trying to hide and took what security forces determined to be threatening actions. Coalition forces engaged and killed him. The other three suspects were detained without incident. There were multiple small arms weapons and ammunition discovered and destroyed on location.
Multiple women and children were present at the raid sites. None were harmed and all were returned to their homes once the troops ensured the area was secure. Coalition forces continue to go to great lengths to avoid non-combatant casualties on the battlefield while terrorists continue to exploit Iraqi women and children by placing them in danger with their actions and presence.

Lebanon should invit a multi-national force into the country to eradicate Hizb'Allah. That would, I think, satisfy Israel and rid them of the pests.
Here's a good one for you.
I'm sure the French will lead the assault. /s
I guess I am just here talking to myself now. LOL
The article brings up good points - such as Iran being behind both problems.

Hopefully Bibi can shake him up. W has to get Blair to man up and stop being shaky... they hate him in his own home as well... so what the heck.
It's time for us to scramble the bombers.
Bibi has been quiet for the last few days. I hope he's raising hell behind closed doors. A chance like this doesn't come along frequently. Something has to give soon.
I know this is off topic - but wondering why NO posts on the Floyd Landis situation..
Anybody seen anything more on this?
Heard a report that Blair is trying to pressure W to "solve" the conflict by getting a UN Resolution on the matter. What?? Has the man gone daft, round the bend etc? Nothing sounds more hopeless than to say "the answer lies with the UN".
