Fox News ^ | 7/27/06

Ann Coulter just on Cavuto being interviewed.

She wanted to "remind the viewers" that the normal election cycle is for the party in the White House to lose seats. She expects this election to be one where Republicans lose seats. She added "a lot of seats" before Neil moved on to another question.

Rush did not say he believed it. In fact, he has consistently said that he believes that there will be little change following the November elections. He was merely trying to keep his loyal listeners "on the cutting edge" by giving us a heads-up about Novak's new column. He said once the MSM learn about it, they will be trumpeting it for all they are worth. IMO, Novak is not overly fond of the Bush administration or the Republicans in general so he is not the most impartial observer. I know that he says he got the info from a House Committee Chairman, but I find it hard to believe that there are that many seats where the Republican candidate is really vulnerable.

It'll be interesting to see the cat fight between Pelosi & Murtha to be Speaker. It'll be a race to see who is the biggest boob.

Except that such "historical patterns" have NOT held true, in the recent past.

There aren't 30 competitive House races -- with redistricting 'n all. This strikes me as a Republican ploy to scare their base voters back into line. The timing is about right.

Bush was still a better choice than Kerry.

Infinitly better.

Wow! Thanks for alerting us.

I didn't realize that I've been a God-hating liberal ever since I fell in love with science back in the 7th grade, some 50+ years ago!

After all, if Ann says it, it's GOTTA be absolute truth raised to the nth power!

Well the historical patterns were WRONG in 2002, and 2004. The Pubs gain in both houses both times. Which had never been done before...Mr. Morris.

WH legal office is already gearing up for impeachment defense.

Dems smell blood on the water, and the Sheeple, remembering how we danced into disaster with Clinton, but at least he was fun, will but the Ds back into power.

I don't think the Dems have the balls to do it.

Imagine, a terrorist attack against Chicago, Bush swings into action, and the Democrats are trying to run him out of town.

Cooler heads will prevail, IMO. With all the uncertainties out there, it could blow up, big time, and wreck the Dems chances at the White House.

Remember Spain.

If Dems are polling ahead, AQ will do nothing. If Rs ahead, attack.

forget it, if the Dems win - the war on terror is over. we should start buying prayer mats.

Maybe being on a prayer mat will make it easier to kiss our behinds good-bye...

What makes you think she is wrong?

IMHO, Coulter's using an outdated political play book. She has been wrong on how Congress will be aligned for two consecutive voting cycles.

My only point is that we should not take her predictions as Gospel. She's smart...but not THAT smart. I want us to apply perspective and intelligent debate to what Coulter, et al, have to say.

Hopefully we have learned by now that OUR action and momentum win elections; and that too often the dribble from the mouths of political pundits influences us and shuts us down.

Remember: The pundits are checking out what WE say. If we stay involved and positive, we will continue to win---no matter what the pundits predict.

Wanted to save you the embarrassment.

Aw, it's sincerely sweet that you were concerned about embarrassing me.

But, please don't concern yourself with power you do not have.

Sleep well ;-)

No, I mean the cost of their Medicare Insurance is rising at a faster rate than their SS increases.... and this stuff they didn't pay for crap doesn't fly, because most paid thousands and thousands of dollars into a system that Washington DC squandered. They didn't squander it and then go out begging for a handout. Those same thousands in sound investments, whether by them or the governemnt would be worth millions at retirement for most people making an average income.

If the government planned on squandering the money then it should have been included into the regular taxable income and not called out separately and should have been subject to the same deductions. 16% of income (self and employer) is a substantial chunk of money for which there is no deductions and that is not a gift as you say, but earned income wasted -- might as well throw it out the window and forget about it with your attitude.

Have you asked him what he hopes to accomplish by not voting?

I have little doubt that he will let cooler heads prevail by November. I s'pect he was just venting when we talked about the spines of linguini that are your Republican Party in action.

I'm sort of a minor cog in the machinery. I'm Secretary of my Senate District BPOU and have spent uncounted hours as precinct chair and will continue to volunteer my time etc. I confess that Republicans in DC have caused me to nearly lose my lunch on more than one occasion.

I don't know what is going to happen in November. I can say that if my son talks as he does, he isn't alone in that view. If large numbers of Republicans in DC have to look for real jobs come January, they will have no one to blame but themselves.

That quote in no way implies the intervention of God within the political world. Part of the Free Will that we were given requires man to establish his governments. God never encouraged or supported tyranny and always supported freedom.
The freedom means political freedom not discerning policy from the entrails of a bird.
