Ann Coulter just on Cavuto being interviewed.
She wanted to "remind the viewers" that the normal election cycle is for the party in the White House to lose seats. She expects this election to be one where Republicans lose seats. She added "a lot of seats" before Neil moved on to another question.

My apologies.
Trolls can appear on any thread. By definition they often try to disrupt the ongoing conversation of the topic at hand by introducing extraneous off-topic tangents.
Like you're doing here.
It used to be discouraged around here. But alas, no more.
Again, this is what I mean by trolling.
And yeah, it seems to be endemic on Coulter threads.

Man, thats really profound. What at deep thinker you are.

Actually that is a quote from George Wallace.
The 74 election allowed the Democrats to throw S. Vietnam to the wolves. they will attempt to do the same thing to the Iraqi government.
You seem pleased that the Republicans will get their just deserts. I guess the same can be said for the country. Every conservative cause will go down the tubes and God knows when the "base" will get what it wants.
Why is it that if I respond to some statement you make and we debate it (though certainly I could have done without your name-calling) its "trolling," but what you did in post 106 (jumping in on another poster and criticizing her because of her sign in date) isn't? I was substantively addressing your points. You were not substantively addressing hers. When you throw around your favorite epithet "troll" do you even know what you're talking about?
I think they are firing warning shots to ensure turnout...
"Apparently, the base is pissed off about immigrantion, spending, and other stuff."
"Apparently"! - Huh? Have you been living on the moon?
THE BASE IS PIS..D OFF!!!!!
Yes, trolls can appear on any thread. And experienced FR troll hunters will deal with them. But disagreeing with Ann does not a troll make.
By definition they often try to disrupt the ongoing conversation of the topic at hand by introducing extraneous off-topic tangents.
Being off-topic also does not a troll make.
Like you're doing here.
What did I post that was off-topic?
And now you insinuate that I'm a troll. You know, I expected that from you in the last thread. I'm surprised it took so long.
DS - Trollhunter wannabe ping
It used to be discouraged around here. But alas, no more.
Yeah, way back in the summer of last year (when you joined us) things were different around here. LOL!!!
Bush bought this reality. He (and we) can live with it.
So that is how we got Arlen Specter...........</ Sarcasm>
It sounds like you aren't going to work your butt off for the GOP this summer/fall.
I hope the Cheerleaders are prepared to work with a major shortage of free labor.
They never have before.
Having said that, I don't see the GOP losing that much. The power of incumbency is quite strong. People are dissatisfied with Congress in general, but not necessarily their own Rep, and the DemonRats aren't giving people much to be excited about.
Your squishy liberal Republicanism will devestate us in this coming election.
(R)anks a (R)ot.
There's a Very Important Sock Drawer that needs sorting.
You're hopeless. RFC_Gal brought up Coulter's chapters about science. That is off-topic. That is trolling.
This thread is a paradigm of Coulter threads of late. Some (usually misleading) snippet is posted about what she has said in some interview, and everybody rushes in to opine on why they do or don't like her.
Nobody seems to notice the subject, or even whether the original comment starting the thread is accurate or not.
For instance, in this case Coulter was merely pointing out that there IS overwhelming history that the party in the W.H. loses seats in midterm elections. She noted that this is just a fact, even though Bush beat it last time, which makes it even stronger this time.
This was a statement of fact not a statement of her desire.
Coulter began by telling Cavuto that Republicans OUGHT to win and talked about how absurd Democrats.
When he pushed her as to whether she thought the GOP would pick up seats, she explicitly said that she hated to sound like a spoilsport, but most election year "predictions" are just cheerleading, with Dems saying the Dems will win and Republicans saying the GOP will win -- and she wasn't cheerleading -- she was just stating an historical fact.
I'm sure that Coulter better than most realizes that it would be devastating to the war on terrorism and much else if and when the GOP does lose seats.
Look at what happened in 1998, when Democrat gains in the House nearly derailed impeachment by just picking up 3 or 4 seats.
Updating my tagline.
