On the one hand, they said it was a legitimate picture because it wasn't staged. On the other hand, they said it was outrageous because it was expoiting children in the cause for war. Personally, I compare it to the photos way back when of Palesinian children throwing rocks at Israeli's. I don't recall the outrage from those images, except for maybe how shameful it was that the Israelis put the poor Palestinian children in that despicable position (yada yada yada).
