Party politics aside for a moment, the election is being decided right now. People need to take just a moment and compare how Governor Schwarzenegger is addressing our current statewide energy demand caused by record crushing high temperates, then think back to the energy failing of his predecessor, and Phil Angelides mentor, Grey Davis. People need to refresh the memories of hardship caused by the previous administration and speak of the early decisive actions taken by Governor Schwarzenegger to protect lives in the current energy emergency.

We are in a crisis right now, and if Governor Schwarzenegger had not taken early decisive actions a great many more people would have died as a result of the heat driven energy demand, and most likely everyone would be facing rising base energy price increases instead of stabilized prices.

This is news! Governor Schwarzenegger minimized the suffering and hardship before body counts could hit the hundreds or thousands. Hospitals have power, fire stations have power, most all the state has had continuous power, and what blackouts have occurred have been relatively small and handled as quickly as possible due to the leadership of the governor.

The sky is falling! The sky is falling!

Nobody is or has died as a result of heat. Those assertions are the most vile claptrap I've ever heard. The heat that we are experiencing is the normal weather pattern for California. It's not unusual, or unbearable, and any who are unable to deal with it do not belong in a state that is known for such weather. The cool period that we have gone through for the last 14 years had to end sometime.

All power shortages are due to fools voting for socialists; a created crisis of convenience, but even when the power fails, there is no cause for all the whinning and wailing. I grew up in California without air conditioning, during a period where temps were much higher than the present, and I think that I survived.
