MCCAIN BOOSTS 'ILLEGALS' (in lockstep with Bloomberg)
NY POST ^ | July 25, 2006 | DAVID SEIFMAN

Posted on 07/25/2006 7:21:19 AM PDT by Liz

Taking Mayor Bloomberg's view one step further, Sen. John McCain warned that the American economy would collapse if 11 million illegal aliens are sent packing.

"What are we going to do with 11 million people?" McCain asked at a dinner at the New York Yacht Club......... "You going to send 'em all back? Mayor Bloomberg testified at a hearing last week that the economy of New York City would collapse [without illegal immigrants]. I would argue the economy of America would collapse."

The Arizona Republican is co-sponsor of a bill....that would provide for a guest-worker program and a path to citizenship for many illegal immigrants.

McCain is a dumbass. Incentive brought them here, disincentive will send them back. You don't have to round them up and deport them.

McCain is weird and unpredictable. I don't like or trust him. I think he's all over the map and inconsistant.

Mayor Bloomberg testified at a hearing last week that the economy of New York City would collapse [without illegal immigrants]. I would argue the economy of America would collapse."

Employment Situation Summary:

The number of unemployed persons (7.0 million) was essentially unchanged in June, and the unemployment rate held at 4.6 percent. The unemployment rate for adult men declined to 4.0 percent, while the unemployment rate for teenagers edged up to 15.4 percent. Jobless rates for the other major worker groups--adult women (4.1 percent), whites (4.1 percent), blacks (9.0 percent), and Hispanics (5.3 percent)--showed little or no change over the month. The unemployment rate for Asians was 3.5 percent, not seasonally adjusted. (See tables A-1, A-2, and A-3.)

The statement that we can't do without the illegals is an admission of slavery. If they're illegal we don't have to pay them the "living wage" that all these politicians love to pontificate. This is beyond disgusting.

"I would argue the economy of America would collapse."

Argue whatever you want, that doesn't make it true.

The msm keeps telling us how conservative he is and how he's moving back to the right. Yet every time I see an article about legislation he sponsors it has a drunken kennedy co sponsor to go with it. Somehow I don't see that as "conservative".

Wasn't that lamo "day without hispanics" a big flop in California? Last time I checked CA was still there.

Except of course crime dropped a bit.

McCainiac argued the economy of America would collapse if we deport illegals.

More likely the US economy will collapse if as McCainaic wants to do----we deliver the US Social Security system to Mexico, increase illegals take from the US Treasury, and enable illegals keep sending an annual $30 billion out of the US to Mehico.

The McCain/Kennedy bill would:

* Having the fruits of the American citizens’/taxpayers’ labor siphoned off, by an increasingly unaccountable federal government, to pay for social services, education, legal fees and court costs for criminals who are living and working in this country illegally.

* Allowing citizens of another country, whose leadership is among the most corrupt in the world, to enter this country at will in order to feed like parasites off of a convoluted, cancer-ridden system of government that no longer bears any resemblance to the original-intent limited-government blueprint that once insured individual liberty, justice, and national sovereignty more practically and nobly than any other outline ever conceived by the mind of man.

* Allowing representatives of the Mexican government to have a say (sometimes even more of a say than the American citizenry) as to how, and how resolutely, we patrol the very borders across which their own countrymen are invading our republic.

If the economy collapses because you git rid of illegals then it is a house of cards to start with. This is the same kind of logic as saying people that don't have a job have every right to steal to put food on the table. It doesn't wash. Illegal is illegal.

Another way to put it would be that the politicos ignored the problem for so long that now the economy is dependent on illegal labor and now in order to get rid of them now we will have to bite the bullet.

McCain permanently screwed himself with his amnesty-bill for illegals. He already has violated himself and his party with McCain/Feingold, his stand against real tax-cuts and his Kyoto-style energy agenda. He'll fail miserably if he runs as a Republican in 2008... and he'll fare worse if he runs as an Independent.

The illegal-alien revulsion runs deeply through BOTH parties.
