US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice salutes a US Marine as she walks towards a helicopter upon her departure from Beirut after meeting with Lebanese officials.

The lawyer for the Mt Soledad athiest freak is getting beat up by O'Reilly pretty darn good
LOL.
man, that is a hell of a stretch.
I'm not sure what israel is going to say about this, but absent some information regarding collaboration, these 4 observers should not have been targeted - no matter what we think about the UN as an institution.
Mine ain't working. I thought you were on it. :)
LOL! Nevermind.....he took it pretty well! LOL!
thought for sure I was gonna feel flames!
;-)
The gentleman apparently doesn't understand the origin of the Greek Cross, St. George's Cross, etc. Plus, apparently place names like San Diego and Las Cruces are ok because they aren't in English.p>A moron, pure and simple.
Are you talking about me in front of me... again?
Are you hungry? I'm hungry. Can I hear it?
If they were in this obs post....then I say doom on them.
;-)
I get bored too easy....
it may very well be the Israelis thought the post had been abandoned or was unmanned and wanted to take out a possible source of cover for Hizbullah
Haven't read the whole thread yet so I don't know if this has been posted, but I did find this comment regarding the UN bombing:
(Extracted from an AP article):
An Israeli bomb destroyed a UN observer post on the border in southern Lebanon, killing two peacekeepers with two others feared dead under the rubble. UN chief Kofi Annan said Israel appeared to have struck the site deliberately.
Israel's UN Ambassador Dan Gillerman expressed his "deep regret" for the deaths and denied Isarel hit the post intentionally.
"I am shocked and deeply distressed by the hasty statement of the secretary-general, insinuating that Israel has deliberately targeted the UN post," he said, calling the assertions "premature and erroneous."
The IDF said in response that it deeply regretted the "tragic death" of the UN personnel and vowed to investigate the incident.
Did you order your Bush/Cheney '08 bumper stickers yet?
that must be a pretty special list!
ONLY 2?
wow......
Anyway, as I said, we are only hearing about the observers. When the truth comes out at the conclusion of the investigation, I would bet that there were more than just the observers at that post.
