"It's the American Dream, stupid"

She and her husband are the only two politicians who could get a pass on calling the American people stupid.

"They're not taking care of America. They're bankrupting our country and failing to address the problems,"

Blah blah blah blah blah blah.

What's sad to me is that this stuff resonates with a lot of people. Pre-FDR, most folks would probably think she'd had a little too much of the bathtub gin if the Dems were deamnding the government live our lives for us.

What the hell happened to the country with the limited government where what people wanted most was for the government to stay the hell out of their lives? Did that ever exist?

"They're not taking care of America. They're bankrupting our country and failing to address the problems," the New York senator said, citing skyrocketing gas, college and health care costs and lamenting a GOP "failure to provide Americans with economic security."

"Once again America needs to work for everyone not just the privileged and the powerful," Clinton said, adding that Democrats can be the "change agent" this fall by winning control of the House and Senate from Republicans.

"Democrats know we must stop passing on debt to our children and start doing what's best for our country and our children," she said in a speech to moderates attending the annual meeting of the Democratic Leadership Council, a centrist think tank best known for helping her husband win the White House in 1992.

She unveiled the "American Dream Initiative," a package of economic proposals aimed at strengthening the middle class and helping the poor work their way out of poverty - and offered a version of her husband's campaign line.

The 20-page document proposes steps to curtail federal spending, make college more accessible, ensure solvent retirement accounts and make health care more affordable, all with the goal of correcting the country's current "misguided economic philosophy" and giving anyone who is willing to work hard the opportunity to get ahead.

~~~~~~~~
The Republican National Committee took issue with the characterizations of the president's record.
"Only liberal Democrats like Hillary Clinton could attack an economy that has produced 5.4 million jobs in the last three years, grew 5.6 percent in the first quarter of this year, increased payroll employment in 47 states, and is the envy of the industrialized world," said Danny Diaz, an RNC spokesman.
Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, D-N.Y., said Monday, citing skyrocketing gas, college and health care costs.
I'm confused. Actually Hillary, you dumb sh!t, these costs would be LOWER if the government got the hell out of the private sector.
You think she's bad, Plagiarist Joe was talking to some group over the weekend and was literally unhinged! It got to the point where the supposedly friendly brunch crowd alternated between silence or tittering nervously among themselves.
The DLC will be working overtime to get that deranged DUmmie out of the race early -- he genuinely turns people off.
But, ironically, not government spending. The one issue she has the power to affect as it relates to bankrupting our country.
Maybe someone in the media should ask her, "How?"
John Kerry - he again had a plan that wouldn't have placed us in this global crisis...well, what the hell is he waiting for, why isn't he sharing it? He save all his 'good plans' for the day he "might" be President? That guy is such a she-male....
Transparent frauds, all of them. If they had provided better educations to their voters it would have been more apparent to the masses...oh, I get it... /s
"It's the American dream, stupid," said the former first lady in a riff on her husband's successful 1992 campaign mantra — "It's the economy, stupid."
How original.
Speaking to the Democratic Leadership Council, a centrist think tank,
Translation- Liberal
she and three other yet-declared presidential candidates argued that Republicans have ignored the very people who make up much of the country. Democrats won't, they promised.
Well, sure, the first point is right. The McCainiac led groupies have done their best to thumb their noses at Americans. Trouble is...they have done so by being Liberal. So, the Democrats promise to do better. How? They've spent the same time ignoring the same group of people the Republicans largely have. They aren't going to become conservatives, so we're left with...
I personally have no love for the Republicans. But neither am I buying this tired rhetoric that the other party will do better! It's a lie. If they really meant it, and even if they championed the right ideas, once they get there most of them sell out. Yeah, I sound sick of politics because I am. Sick of advancing conservatism in ideas and policy? Nope. But I am sick of "Politicians", "party partisanship", and tired worn out rhetoric that needs to be retired in favor of actually, I don't know, doing what they were sent there to do. Not what their egos and dismissive disdain for their own constituents dictate.
She is much smarter than we are. As such, she should tell us where our money goes and what we need or don't need.
