Iran leader's warning to Israel

Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has warned Israel that it has "pushed the button of its own destruction" because of its actions in Lebanon.

He also said Israel should "pack up" and move elsewhere, repeating comments made last year.

Israel has accused Iran of involvement in the capture of the two Israeli soldiers, which sparked the current crisis, claims Iran denies.

Iran has also been accused of supplying Hezbollah with money and arms.

"Israel pushed the button of its own destruction by attacking Lebanon," Mr Ahmadinejad said while addressing an education conference.

I advise them to pack up and move out of the region before being caught in the fire they have started in Lebanon Mahmoud Ahmadinejad Iranian president

He did not give further information but suggested Islamic nations and others could isolate Israel and its supporters, AP news agency reported.

He also repeated last year's calls for Israel to move out of the Middle East, comments which sparked widespread condemnation.

"I advise them to pack up and move out of the region before being caught in the fire they have started in Lebanon," he said.

Iran helped found the Lebanese-based Hezbollah in 1982, but says it only gives spiritual and political support to the group, not financial aid, training or weapons.

It has also rejected Israeli claims it was involved in the capture by Hezbollah of two Israeli soldiers two weeks ago, which led to the Israeli strikes on Lebanon.

My advice for Ahmadinejad is to STFU and die.

IMO... we're the 'nuts'. Only confused, guilt-ridden cowards would allow themselves to be cowed by such blatant evil.

The people of Israel do not bow to threats. They will not be removed by any power from their ancient homeland. Israel is a good deal older than Iran. The Iranian leadership would be well advised to desist from the course they have chosen or see disaster befall their country. Seeking to destroy the Jewish people has never fared well those who wish to bring it about. Ahmedinejad and the mullahs have been placed on notice: Israel has the means to defend itself and has used but a mere fraction of its full military power in Lebanon.

""I advise them to pack up and move out of the region before being caught in the fire they have started in Lebanon," he said."

I'd advise Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to go read Tom Clancy's "Executive Orders", especially the part about what happened to Iran and to Daryaei.

If an insane man is running a country, does that mean the people who elected him are also insane?

They haven't "pushed the button" yet. They came close in '73.

Remember that the mullahcrats excluded most of the more moderate candidates from running in Iranian elections. Totalitarians are perfectly capable of running elections with predetermined outcomes.

Yes, they're making their own weapons and stamping them with 'Made in Iran'. Iran is digging themselves a hole to HELL!

Irans problem now is that Hezbollah is getting its ass royally kicked by the IDF, and with little help from anyone.

Ahdmanipusster sees the specter of Hezbollah defeat on the horizen and answers it by public pronouncements designed to inflame the Muslim poopulace to greater effort. The moment Syrian or Iranian troops are transported into Labanon is the moment that we will see B-52s scrambled from Diego Garcia. Nothing on the ground along the Syrian Border for 20 miles in will be left alive as 1000 pound bombs plough up the landscape.

And if Iran makes the mistake of firing its missles at Israel, it will re-enter the stone age from which it has just barely risen, oil or no.

He also said Israel should "pack up" and move elsewhere, repeating comments made last year.

And where does he propose that they move to? Madagascar, like this like-minded fellow originally wanted?
