Senator John Kerry quickly issued a statement Friday blasting Rush Limbaugh for asserting during his Friday broadcats that "liberals have hated Israel for the longest time and want to destroy it." Here it is:
"Rush Limbaughs ignorance and willingness to divide Americans knows no bounds. His latest statement about Israel is beyond offensive to all of us who have fought to protect Israel in the face of enemies committed to its destruction.
"Rush Limbaugh needs to pick up a history book instead of a donut. It was a Democratic president who first recognized the State of Israel. It was a Democratic President who first sold Israel defensive weapons. And it was a Democratic President who first sold Israel offensive weapons.
"The people of Israel and the Jewish community dont need Rush Limbaugh to tell them who stands with them, and no one has time for right wing trying to score cheap political points while Israel fights to defend its very existence."
Peas in a pod... Bill O'Reilly had this to say about liberal Jews and Israel. It sounded familiar -- and then it hit me: Rush!

In a just world, this picture alone would end her political career!
Exactly. He also said what he thought, and acted on principles.
It scares the hell out of me - each time I realize that such pompous assholes as Kerry, Schummer, Kennedy, Reid, Clinton, Durbin, Levin, Boxer, Fineswine, etc, etc....are SENATORS of the United States of America..
We are ill served in dangerous times..
Semper Fi
All true.
Unfortunately, for him, ever since Robert Kennedy took a bullet for his support for Israel, Democrats have been reconsidering. When Truman wrote his autobiography, his stalwart support for Israel was controversial. It has only gotten worse.
