I counted 60 of us, but then about 15 or so people showed up after I counted and a couple Americans walking by also joined us, so we were at least 75 strong!! Many had been at Laguna Beach in the morning. I am so PROUD of those Americans...such troopers!!!! We were plenty large enough to divide ourselves, so half went across the street where the shade was and the rest of us remained on the sunny side. We lined both sides of the streets and it was beautiful to see all the American flags on both sides!! I would say that we had 75% support from both the tourists on the sidewalks and the drivers passing by. We definitely had 25% that were completely against us and they were mainly AMERICANS!! I can understand the illegals being against us, but Americans?? Makes no sense! Apparently they hate our country or they are simply ignorant!! I got into it with one vehicle passenger who called one of our Black members a racist - WHAT??? I was standing in the middle of two black Americans and a Hispanic American and he called us racists? He was white with a white guy...just an interesting observation. I finally told his ignorant self to go back to his drugs and he said "You go back to church!" (In a tone that said I love my drugs but hate Christians.) I joyfully told him I would be there tomorrow!! And then we laughed at the irony of the situation. Only one other guy said something to me..I held a sign that stated "SOS SUPPORTS THE LAPD!! And he yelled at me that the Police were liars and asked me why I was supporting them? This guy looked funny, like he still thought it was 1980 and was older than me, but trying to look younger. Just ridiculous. And his hair looked like a wig. One of our funnier members commented on his hair. I couldn't help but laugh. Other than one flip off and two female tourists from Mexico who were part of upper society who were arrongantly against us, all the other people in Hollywood were quite supportive. Many tourists took our photos.
And a group of young college age guys from Orange County who were so supportive!! They are completely on our side!!! I told them to join Save Our State and I hope they will!!
We definitely made an impact!!! And the police were very thankful!!! A great group of American heroes!!!
We only had one incident and it is quite serious. A small group of Americans marched down to Answer LA on the corner of Arygle and Hollywood. They were peaceful and stood away from them with their American Flags. Someone from the crowd went up to them and said that M13 Street Gang members were present and with a gun!! The Americans went and told the police, because their lives were being threatened. The police searched the guy with the gun, but he passed the gun to someone else before the search. They decided they better come back to our side. We notified the police again.
We are so lucky to have such wonderful police officers who love America and our laws!! THANK YOU LAPD!!!!!!
We did not have any incidents though on our corner of Hollywood & Highland. By the way from all accounts from both the police and other Americans, the Answer LA crowd only had 20-40 people!!!! And we had 75 (plus)!!! I also heard reports that no one was paying much attention to them.
We didn't get any real media today. Though KFI came out. Ghost and I both interviewed with Steve Gregory. And trust me the media knew. In fact when I called CNN and Fox, they both already knew about the event. So since the media didn't show up, this tells me that they may be getting a little exhausted of our events. So we need to use some different tactics and step it up a notch!!! (A few of us stayed after and spoke about this fact and about the SPP. Very strong meeting!!)
One other good note, a wonderful Mexican-American who resides in Santa Ana came by and spoke with me for a bit. I adored this man. He rallies for America in Santa Ana. He doesn't have much support, so I told him about LAIR and You Don't Speak For Me and of course Save Our State!! He said he would join and I hope he does!! Great man!!

Um, maybe I'm unaware of something or didn't read your post as thoroughly as I should have, but I have to ask--why?
Last I checked, the LAPD was one of the worst PDs (at for gun rights at the very least) in California--which kinda says something. I mean, Bratton's a snake. They helped promote the ban on .50 caliber ammunition in CA, and for that alone, they have my disdain. Hopefully the average officer isn't as bad as the brass, but I'm admittedly somewhat doubtful.
You cant judge the average cop by the brass that leads them.
A lot of them are conservative,pro gun rights and anti ACLU types.
The brass can only get ahead by being politcal animals, bending to the will of the ones that gives them power.
I have been very honest about my beliefs at my federal govt. job. It is one major reason why I will never get ahead.
I would rather stand with the constitution and the soldiers when they fight, than stand with the vicious liberals.
Tell the female liberals that it is great that the Indians did not kill all the colonists. Ask them if they want to live as squaws and chew leather to make soft moccasins.
BRAVO! So great to see patriots from all walks of life standing together proving that the constant accusation of racism is a blatent lie that rings falser with each new misuse of the term. Hopefully the average citizens are "getting it".

On July 8th, a group of patriotic Americans marched to defend this great nation. Unfortunately Americans were aggressively counterprotested by illegals and their supporters which included the organization Answer LA.
Answer LA members were especially aggressive and threw glass and other objects at us Americans. The crowd even were aggressive and threatening toward the LAPD. In response to their aggression, LAPD made 6 arrests (all the counterprotesters). One officer was hurt during the arrests.
Now Answer LA is suing the LAPD for "police brutality and racism" due to the arrests on July 8th. Answer LA is hosting a rally on the corner where we began our march on the 8th to protest the supposed "police brutality and racism".
So in response patriotic Americans will come out in truth to support the fine work of the LAPD ...
Most of the LAPD officers are at least somewhat conservative, and many are very conservative. They don't always open up to civilians right on the spot for frar of being "set up" by left wing media types.

Alright, I see why. It's good to know a lot of the LAPD cops don't fit the mold set by their boss.
