And I thought it was just us British who were picky :0) but I know where you are coming from. I often get criticized at work for being too exacting but in export it is either right or wrong and the difference is getting something stuck in customs for weeks and incurring a great deal of expense and the customer being very annoyed.

I don't want to hijack the thread into a Catholic discussion. I am a strongly pro-life Catholic, and I was implying that Timmy's hectoring questions may have been because he was mentally conflicted about supporting the use of embryos for research.

#195, they do not even have enough cell towers here (thanks to the wacko environmentalists)so that your cell phone does not drop it's calls all the time. They could make deals with U.S. Parks to do a multi purpose tower that could be for Cellphones and have Cameras affixed to the same tower monitoring the Forests for Fires,Planes down,etc. I am afraid that the Nazi like left wingers would keep anything this constructive and useful,money saving from happening. I would love Broadband, too expensive right now, and Cable lines stopped two blocks away from me. Hughes.net(DirectTv) is appropriate in it's name because only a Millionaire like Howard Hughes can afford it.

Perhaps local stations have the right to decide when they air these programs???? That is correct. They have to air them before 12:00 noon local time (for ABC/CBS/NBC) but beyond that they have authority to air them at their schedule.

It is interesting that we seem to show John Bolton on UK TV much more than we did any previous American UN Ambassador.

I have heard that as well. It's usually said of "Reagan conservatives" and the so-called "neo-conservative" factions of the GOP.
But, I do agree with you on blue collar Southern Democrats changing because of social issues. Add in tax reduction and old time Democrats are usually more comfortable with Republicans who are not promoting socialism and the welfare state.
Democrats have reduced themselves to inciting hysteria to win elections. Global warming, energy problems or homophobia, they have to use emotions to win elections. Logic fails them.

IF this is the great magic silver bullet the advocates tell us Parmacutical Companies should be throwing billions of R&D dollars at it.

Woe to the shepherds who mislead and scatter the flock of my pasture, says the LORD. I have to post this somewhere. I rocked me. Today's first reading of the Mass. Jer 23: 1-6
And these readings are established well in advance
____________________________________________
Therefore, thus says the LORD, the God of Israel,
against the shepherds who shepherd my people:
You have scattered my sheep and driven them away.
You have not cared for them,
but I will take care to punish your evil deeds.
I myself will gather the remnant of my flock
from all the lands to which I have driven them
and bring them back to their meadow;
there they shall increase and multiply.
I will appoint shepherds for them who will shepherd them so that they need no longer fear and tremble;
and none shall be missing, says the LORD.
Behold, the days are coming, says the LORD,
when I will raise up a righteous shoot to David;
as king he shall reign and govern wisely,
he shall do what is just and right in the land.
In his days Judah shall be saved,
Israel shall dwell in security.
This is the name they give him:
The LORD our justice.

Seen this. Intresting how this gives the lie to the Democrats Talking Points on Iraq.
Absolutely correct... Not only is it interesting, it is the perfect antidote to the Left's emotion charged blather which invariably consists of nothing but superficial nitpicking designed to appeal to a crowd of losers interested only in taking the easy way out of every challenge. Many of us on the Right side of things often disagree, but our arguments and points are- for the most part- based on empirical data arrived at by digging and hard work.
This is the striking difference between their media and ours. One can disagree with the writings of Kristol, Krauthammer, Blankley etc.; but only a Dim would deny that these people know how to arrive at and stake out a position. Thanks for posting this.

John Bolton was on DaySide Friday and it was great. I have not seen him on TV much here and he really is good at it. At least he is being seen there, which helps too. If you like what you hear him say, it's the same kind of feeling we get listening to Tony Blair talking about Iraq. Even those who disagree with him on other issues realize he's truthful and very good at what he does.

Or screaming that we cheated!! when the voters have voted against them.
The dems are the Entitlement Party - victim status or elite status.
Pubbies are the worker bee Party - willing to defend our families, our faith, and our country.
The mega rich have gravitated to the Dem party while the media continues to spin that we are the party of the "rich."
