Phhooop on the Senate. I'd like to see this on the market while my father still knows who I am.
Do whatever you can to get him in the trial, and good luck to you.
Been there -- and past -- my own father's point of non-recognition. You have my sincerest, deepest sympathies...
We built on to our house and kept my mother in law for a couple of years. Just last week we moved her to a memory care facility. She's just about 1 year old. And does everything that 1 year old does.... ugh. It just became to much. I hope this works for my wife's sake. I want to get her started on the medicine to prevent it.
Too late for my dad, he died with Alzheimer's 9 years ago. Three of my aunts died with it also, it seems to run in my family.
I just hope this pill works and it will be available while I still know who I am. It seems to take 8-10 years or more to get a new drug through the testing process and approved by the Feds.
When I visit she thinks that I am my mother, she no longer remembers that she has grandchildren.
I'd like to see it on the market while I still know who I am.
Jokes aside, I had a great aunt with Alzheimer's and can't imagine 1. being elderly yourself while caring for an elderly loved one with Alzheimer's, and 2. not knowing who my son is/my son not seeing any recognition in my eyes. This has to be as devastating for the family as it is for the victim.
I may be too late for my grandmother, but maybe not for my great aunt...
